Crochet will have his final start prior to the All-Star break moved back an extra day with Hunter Dobbins (elbow) coming off the injured list on Friday to face the Rays. Dobbins offers some streaming appeal for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. Cora added that Masataka Yoshida (shoulder) will be at DH in his return from the injured list. It’s unclear how playing time will shake out for Jarren Duran, who has been at the epicenter of trade discussions recently, with Anthony transitioning to left field. It certainly feels like Boston is preparing to move on from Duran at the trade deadline based on their recent decisions and the sudden emergence of Ceddanne Rafaela as one of the better center fielders in the American League.

In a battle of players who don’t capitalize the first letters of their last names, d’Arnaud took Jacob deGrom deep in the second inning to give the Angels a 3-2 lead. He also doubled in a run in the sixth to tie the game at 4-4. The first season with the Halos for d’Arnaud has been a mixed bag at best, as he’s slashing .220/.268/.394 with five homers and 15 RBI.
