Bowman is no stranger to hitting the waiver wire, and the 34-year-old will be on that market again with the Orioles selecting the contract of Corbin Martin to take his place. If Bowman goes unclaimed, he can either report to Triple-A Norfolk, or he can look for a new club via free agency.

The Rangers absolutely teed off on Sugano after they went around their order one time. Marcus Semien got the party started with a three-run homer in the third inning. They rallied for two more in the fourth and Corey Seager crushed a 420 foot home run in the fifth. Sugano was mercifully pulled from the game soon thereafter and has now allowed 13 earned runs over his past two starts. After a strong start to the season, he now has a 4.44 ERA after it sat at 3.04 less than a month ago. He’s scheduled to face the Mets next time out in his last start before the All-Star break.

O’Neill has had a rough go this season in his Orioles debut, but he’ll try to turn the page as the calendar flips to the second half. The 30-year-old slugging corner outfielder has been out since mid-May recovering from a shoulder impingement.

The Westburg situation is extremely frustrating for fantasy managers since it sounds like he’s dead-set against going on the injured list and will need to manage the ongoing left index finger issue for the remainder of the year. He’ll sit out on Wednesday night for the fifth straight contest and eighth time in Baltimore’s last 10 games overall. It’ll be Ramón Urías continuing to handle the hot corner in his absence.
