Greene has been struggling recently, going 1-for-24 with 14 strikeouts over his last seven games. Obviously fantasy managers shouldn’t be concerned with such an extremely small sample size. However, it partially explains why he’s getting a day off to reset mentally with lefty Tyler Anderson on the mound for Milwaukee.

The Tigers are plenty familiar with Hernández from all of the time he spent on the Royals. The 28-year-old Hernández was waived by the Phillies last week after posting a 5.26 ERA in 25 2/3 innings of relief work. He’s out of options, so he’ll likely take the spot of either Matt Gage or Tyler Owens in the Tigers pen.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters Vest was immediately lifted from Sunday’s contest when he experienced something in his pinky finger after uncorking a wild pitch. He added that the 30-year-old righty will undergo a battery of tests to determine the severity of the issue. There should be an update on his status ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Pirates. It’s unclear whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list yet. Any sort of extended absence would likely result in Tommy Kahnle taking over the ninth-inning duties for Detroit.

It doesn’t seem like a good sign that the Tigers had fellow left-handed hitter Colt Keith hit in Meadows’ place against a right-hander, but it’s understandable, given that Meadows is just 6-for-42 since coming off the injured list. The good news is that Meadows’ exit velocity numbers are actually better than usual; he came into the day a 92.3 mph average exit velocity, a .262 xBA and a .499 xSLG. His defense will help keep him in the lineup until his luck changes on offense.

Cowser is in left field and batting eighth on Monday night following a three-game absence stemming from a collision with the center-field wall during last Thursday’s showdown against the Tigers. The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .219 (7-for-32) with two homers in nine games since returning from the injured list back on June 3.

Arozarena worked Luis Ortiz for a walk to open the second inning and scored the game’s first run on an RB single off the bat of Miles Mastrobuoni. He walked again in the third inning and swiped second base but was left stranded there. The 30-year-old outfielder also walked in the fifth inning, stole second base and scored the M’s final run on an RBI single by Mitch Garver. Despite the poor batting average, he has done a nice job overall at the dish this season, slashing .231/357/.393 with eight homers, 28 RBI and 14 stolen bases.

Dubón’s shot to the wall in left-center could have been caught by Willi Castro, but it went off his glove as he attempted a jumping catch. It went as a single, but it would have been a double and Dubón’s first extra-base hit in nearly three weeks under normal circumstances. Dubón is 2-for-26 as a part-timer this month, though he’s started three straight games with Isaac Paredes hurt.
