While Wilyer Abreu and Marcelo Mayer are mostly sitting against lefties, Anthony has been in the lineup all three games as the Red Sox have faced three in a row. He’s 7-for-18 with four RBI in his last four games, and he’s hit .363 in his last 10 games to improve to .250/.353/.398 through 102 plate appearances.

A home start against the Rockies is as easy as it gets, but Fitts will definitely take the win after going 0-4 in spite of a 3.33 ERA in his first 11 career starts. The Red Sox had been 0-10 in those games until finally winning a Fitts start in the suspended game against the Reds last week, when rain brought things to a halt with Boston up 2-1 after three. Fitts allowed five hits, walked one and struck out six tonight. He should stay in the rotation for now and face the Rays on Sunday, but things are about to get complicated with Hunter Dobbins and Tanner Houck close to returning.

Gonzalez crushed a Ryan Rolison pitch 111.1 mph over the Green Monster and out of Fenway Park, and his other two balls in play were 106.9 mph and 103.6 mph. He has a ridiculous 59.6 percent hard-hit rate this season; the only hitter with 50 plate appearances doing better is Shohei Ohtani at 60.2 percent. Also, his strikeout rate is also down to 23.6 percent from 26.9 percent in his first season with the Red Sox and 36.0 percent during his White Sox career. He certainly wouldn’t maintain his current .923 OPS while playing regularly against righties, but he deserves a shot to show what he can do outside of a platoon role.

Bregman added that he’s skipping next week’s Midsummer Classic in an effort to be ready to play in games for the Red Sox. The 31-year-old added that he’s hoping to return later this week before the All-Star break, but plans to be ready right afterwards if that doesn’t happen. It’s a significant development for the suddenly red-hot Red Sox, who have won seven of their last nine games following Monday’s slugfest victory over the Rockies at Fenway Park.

Carrillo has yet to allow a hit or walk in 5 2/3 innings at Triple-A Syracuse while striking out 10 and flashing a 100 mph fastball. He also had a 4.19 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings for Double-A Binghamton before being promoted. The 28-year-old revitalized his career in the independent leagues and was signed out of the Venezuelan Winter League by the Mets after not being in professional baseball since 2019. He will be making his MLB debut if he gets into a game with the Mets.

Getting to play your home games in Arizona and being faster than the overwhelming majority of players gives you a good chance to pile up the triples, and Carroll has done just that with 10 already before the All-Star break. The 24-year-old also doubled while improving his season slash to .250/.332/.563. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Carroll approached 20-plus three-baggers someday. It could even be 2025.

The positive news for fantasy managers is that imaging on Sunday didn’t reveal any fractures in Hernández’s left foot and it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. The 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder is dealing with some residual soreness after fouling a ball off his foot over the weekend. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out a few additional games this week in the lead up to next week’s Midsummer Classic. It’ll be Andy Pages sliding over to cover right field with James Outman patrolling center field on Monday night in Milwaukee.
