Ritter has been functioning as the team’s regular shortstop since Ezequiel Tovar landed on the injured list, but it’s Orlando Arcia getting the start on Friday night. Arcia previously played for the Braves, so it’s nice that they’re letting him have a homecoming of sorts and giving him an opportunity for revenge. Expect Ritter to be back in there on Saturday.

Gomber will make his season debut on Sunday against the Athletics after missing nearly three months at the outset of the year working his way back from shoulder inflammation. The 31-year-old lefty is not a recommended option for fantasy purposes after posting just 116 strikeouts over 165 innings (30 starts) last year for Colorado.

This qualifies as a surprise. There haven’t been a ton of save chances for the Rockies this season, but Agnos has become a key component of Colorado’s high-leverage mix during his rookie campaign, notching four saves across 20 appearances. The 24-year-old was hit extremely hard during his last two appearances against the division-rival Giants, allowing seven runs over 1 1/3 innings. His sudden demotion seemingly opens the door for Seth Halvorsen, and possibly even lights-out setup specialist Jake Bird, to handle the bulk of the save opportunities.

The procedural move opens up a spot on Colorado’s 40-man roster. Feltner has been out since late April dealing with back spasms. There’s a chance he’s ready to return at some point later this month, but that’s not a lock.

Jorge Polanco had the walkoff hit in the ninth. Crawford didn’t factor in then, and his five times on base tonight led to just one run scored and no RBI. He did steal his fourth base of the year, but he was also caught for the first time after being picked off first. Crawford has been a great surprise in hitting .295/.410/.401 in 285 plate appearances, but since he doesn’t excel in any category, his fantasy value remains limited.

The D-Backs entered the ninth inning trailing 7-3 with the normally-excellent Robert Suarez on the mound. Didn’t matter. With the bases full, Perdomo smoked a triple into right field to tie the game at 7-7. One batter later, Josh Naylor bounced into a fielder’s choice with Perdomo safe at the plate for the impressive win. He’s now up to 49 RBI over 70 games, and he’s slashed a solid 271/.366/.429 over his 243 at-bats.

Story doubled the lead for Boston to 2-0 with his double in the second inning to score Carlos Narváez. His second of the double of the game gives him seven on the season, and improves his slash to a still-middling .234/.278/.362.
