Strider made it through his side session without any issues on Sunday, so as long as he continues to feel good over the next couple of days it sounds like the Braves’ ace will make his season debut on Wednesday. Fantasy managers in weekly leagues can finally rejoice and insert Strider into lineups for next week.

Holmes gave up two hits, walked two and struck out 15. The 15 strikeouts were obviously a career-high for Holmes and came just a day after Spencer Strider struck out 13 Rockies on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Braves’ offense didn’t support Holmes and he was saddled with a loss against the worst team in baseball this year. The 29-year-old right-hander has a 3.97 ERA and his 3.47 xFIP shows more room for improvement. Holmes is set to face the Marlins on the road next weekend.

Instead, Sale will start against the Mets with that series beginning Tuesday and going through Thursday. The 36-year-old will get some extra rest, and also won’t be wasted against the worst team in baseball. Grant Holmes will start Sunday’s game instead.
