Story took Ryan Zeferjahn deep to tie the game at 5-5 in the sixth inning. That’s Story’s fourth homer in June, and 11th overall in 2025. Even with the home run and a single, he’s still slashing a less-than-desirable .235/.277/.371 in 2025 over 294 at-bats.

Mayer will make his season debut at the keystone on Tuesday night in Los Angeles after mostly playing third base to open his rookie campaign. The 22-year-old top prospect figures to spend plenty of time there once Alex Bregman (quad) is ready to return from the injured list since Trevor Story remains entrenched at shortstop for now. Kristian Campbell is likely headed to either first base or the outfield once he’s brought back from the minors at some point later this year.

Moran had a 4.70 ERA and a 17/5 K/BB in 7 2/3 innings between Rookie and High-A ball on his rehab assignment. He could be a factor for the Red Sox in the second half if his control proves passable. The 28-year-old left-hander had a 4.15 ERA and a 112/52 K/BB in 91 innings for the Twins from 2021-23.

Buehler just couldn’t find the strike zone Monday, as he ended up walking seven batters and landed just 46-of-94 pitches for strikes. In addition to those free passes, he also hit Zach Neto with the bases loaded to force in a run. It’s too bad as the 30-year-old’s stuff was fine, but when you have that much self-inflicted damage, these things tend to happen. Buehler now has an unseemly 6.29 ERA on the season, and his first season with the Red Sox is at the very least disaster-adjacent. His next chance to turn things around will be Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Neto’s other two hits were singles, but he drove in his first run of the game when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded off Walker Buehler. The 24-year-old now has a dozen homers on the season, and his steal gives him 13. Those are solid numbers, but even more impressive when you consider that he missed close to 20 games to begin the year. Neto was not viewed as a potential fantasy star when he was drafted by Los Angeles. There’s significantly more upside in his bat than anticipated.

Correa went back-to-back with Trevor Larnach in the sixth inning to get the Twins to within five runs at 7-2. It’s just the sixth homer of the season for the 30-year-old shortstop, and he’s still slugging just .392 after the roundtripper. Correa has been known to go on power streaks, so perhaps this will be the start of one. It’s hard to count on at this point, however.

De La Cruz came up a double shy of hitting for the cycle on Monday night as he capped off an impressive three-hit effort with an opposite-field solo shot — his 18th round-tripper of the season — against Yankees lefty reliever Tim Hill in the eighth inning. He put Cincinnati on the scoreboard with a run-scoring triple to center field in the fourth inning before picking up an additional RBI in the ensuing frame with a bases-loaded single to shallow right field. The 23-year-old fantasy superstar is in the midst of one of the best stretches of his career, hitting .309 (21-for-68) with six homers, 12 RBI and four steals in 20 games since June 1.
