Will Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Padres on Tuesday.

Smith doubled to lead off the second inning and scored the Dodgers’ first run on a sacrifice fly. He then took Jeremiah Estrada deep for a two-run homer the sixth to end an impressive 12-pitch at-bat. Smith collected his third hit with a single in the seventh. The 30-year-old backstop leads all qualified catchers with a .330 batting average while slugging seven homers with 40 RBI across 235 plate appearances.

    Emmet Sheehan

Dodgers activated RHP Emmet Sheehan from the 60-day injured list.

Sheehan represents an intriguing fantasy option in deeper mixed leagues given his prospect pedigree and backing by Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup. The 25-year-old former top pitching prospect will make his season debut on Wednesday night against the division-rival Padres. It’ll be his first start in the big leagues since the 2023 campaign after missing all of last season recovering from Tommy John surgery. He misses enough bats to forecast some fantasy relevance in deeper formats, but there’s some risk given the extended layoff and likely workload limitations.

Sauer heads back to the minors with Emmet Sheehan coming off the injured list to make his season debut on Wednesday night against the Padres. The 26-year-old righty allowed three runs over 2 1/3 innings on Tuesday night in a bulk relief appearance against San Diego.

Andy Pages went 4-for-4 with two homers, three runs scored and three RBI on Tuesday, leading the Dodgers to an 8-6 victory over the Padres.

Pages’ breakout season continued with his first career multi-homer game on Tuesday. He took Randy Vásquez deep for a pair of solo homers in the second and fourth innings. Pages added a base hit in the sixth to drive in a run and collected his fourth hit with a single in the eighth. The 24-year-old outfielder is up to 15 homers while hitting .293/.332/.513 with 15 homers, 49 RBI and six steals across 283 plate appearances.

Red Sox recalled INF/OF Nate Eaton from Triple-A Worcester.

Eaton was up with the Red Sox for a quick cup of coffee earlier this month. The versatile 28-year-old returns to the majors in the wake of Boston’s decision to trade franchise icon Rafael Devers to San Francisco. He’ll occupy a bench role for now and figures to split time between several defensive spots.

    Recap

Miles Mastrobuoni went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a run scored as the Mariners rolled to an easy victory over the Guardians on Sunday afternoon.

The 29-year-old infielder actually opened the scoring in the ballgame as he smacked an RBI single off of Luis Ortiz in the home half of the second inning. He then rode home on J.P. Crawford’s game-changing grand slam. That would be Mastrobuoni’s only hit in four plate appearances on the day. For the season, he’s slashing an underwhelming .241/.323/.295 with just one home run, nine RBI and three stolen bases in 130 plate appearances.
