Willi Castro is getting the nod over Harrison Bader in left. Kody Clemens is also out of the lineup after starting against most right-handers in recent weeks. Clemens could get some starts at second against righties if Lee cools off, but Lee is the definite starter for now after hitting .348/.375/.533 over 96 plate appearances in June.

Funderburk will get a chance to pitch for Minnesota for the first time since being demoted to Triple-A St. Paul. The 28-year-old takes the roster spot of Bailey Ober after Ober was placed on the injured list, but Funderburk’s role will assuredly be in the bullpen.

Ober has been shelled in his last few outings, and it’s possible the hip was a major culprit. He’ll be out through at least the All-Star break, but it seems likely he’ll need a rehab assignment and then return to the rotation at some point near the end of July — assuming no setbacks, of course.

Lewis was just activated off the injured list, and the Twins are going to give him days off to try and make sure that his hamstring strain doesn’t become a recurring issue. He’ll take a break with Harrison Bader back in the lineup and Willi Castro moving to third base.

This certainly qualifies as an unexpected development. Jung has been mired in a prolonged slump at the dish for the last few weeks, hitting .164 (19-for-116) with one homer and 16 RBI over his last 30 games. He’s struggled to a lackluster .237/.283/.366 slash line with just eight homers and 35 RBI over 75 games this season. He’ll get a chance to reset at the Triple-A level and work on things out of the spotlight. It’ll likely be some combination of Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran taking over at the hot corner.

Bohm enjoyed a strong month of June, but is just 4-for-32 over his last eight games, so the Phillies are likely just lightening his load a bit. Edmundo Sosa will start at third base and bat eighth in the first game.

Arenado was diagnosed with a sprained right index finger, which allegedly began over the weekend. After playing through it on Monday, he will now miss two straight games. Thomas Saggese will start at third base and bat sixth on Wednesday.
