They’ll first need to clear a spot on their active roster, which could mean either Isaac Paredes or Jacob Melton are heading to the injured list. Guillorme, 30, has hit .248/.377/.317 with two homers, 22 RBI, three swipes and a 46/41 K/BB ratio over 244 plate appearances at Triple-A Sugar Land this season. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

It sounds like the 26-year-old slugger is still going to be out for another couple of days, but it shouldn’t be anything long term. For what it’s worth, Paredes told reporters after the game that he feels close to 100 percent and should be considered day-to-day. It sounds like fantasy managers may have dodged a bullet on this one.

The 24-year-old southpaw had been pitching for the Mississippi Mud Monsters in the independent Frontier League where he registered a 3.86 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and a 29/3 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings in his nine appearances. He’ll add bullpen depth in the minor leagues for the Rockies.

Contreras doubled in a run in the fourth, and he was able to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the sixth with a sac fly. It’s been a disappointing season for Contreras even before you consider the lofty expectations, as he’s still slashing just .239/.346/.340. It’s reasonable — if not probable — that Contreras will pick things up over the second half of 2025.
