RecapJaden McDaniels tallied 23 points (8-of-19 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pelicans.
Expected by many to provide added value as a scorer in the aftermath of Anthony Edwards’ knee surgery, things have not worked out that way for McDaniels. He’s scored at least 20 points in two of the Timberwolves’ last six games, hitting 23 in both instances. Against the Pelicans, McDaniels supplemented the scoring output with a complete stat line, which was good news for fantasy managers. He’ll look to post back-to-back games with at least 20 points for the first time this season when the Timberwolves host the Jazz on Sunday.
