RecapLaMelo Ball recorded 22 points (7-of-15 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pelicans.
After his poor showing in an October 28 loss to the Warriors, Ball has scored at least 20 points in three straight games and four of his last five. Coming off a game in which he committed seven turnovers, the Timberwolves point guard did a better job of valuing the basketball on Friday. Ball committed three turnovers on Friday and shot a respectable field-goal percentage. With Anthony Edwards (knee) out, Minnesota has less margin for error, especially in the turnover category. The Timberwolves end their week with a game against the Jazz on Sunday.
