RecapJulius Randle tallied 19 points (8-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 34 minutes in a loss to the Hawks on Saturday.
Randle fell just short of recording his fourth consecutive 20-point performance as got to the free throw line for just two attempts and went 1-for-2 from three-point range. He continued to be extremely efficient from inside the arc and also set a season-high with eight helpers in this one. There were some questions regarding how he would ultimately fit in with Brooklyn’s rebuilding nucleus, but Randle has gotten off to a decent start in his Nets debut, averaging 20.8 points, 7.1 boards, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.1 blocks through nine games. The Nets are back in action with a quick turnaround against the Mavericks on Sunday.
