Having spent the first six seasons of his NBA career in Memphis, Brooks played one season for the Rockets before being included in Sunday’s reported transaction. Known more for his defense and ability to be an irritant to opposing teams, the veteran forward made 75 starts for Houston in 2024-25. In those outings, Brooks averaged 14.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per game. While he shot just over 42 percent from the field overall, Brooks’ 39.7 percent mark from three was the best of his NBA career to date. Fantasy-wise, he’s been a late-round option at best in standard leagues, and that’s unlikely to change in Phoenix. However, Brooks is joining a team that finished this season ranked 28th in defensive rating and 22nd in points allowed per game.

It will reportedly be a one-year deal. Gillespie played his first season with Phoenix on a two-way deal, but he’ll get a standard contract after solid play in 2024-25. Gillespie could see meaningful rotation minutes for a new-look Suns team that’s still figuring out its identity post-Kevin Durant.

On Tuesday, Denver added another shooter to its roster, reportedly signing Hardaway to a one-year deal. In his first and only season with the Pistons, the veteran guard was a fixture in the starting lineup. Making 77 appearances, all starts, Hardaway averaged 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.2 three-pointers per game, shooting nearly 37 percent from three. THJ’s scoring average decreased compared to his 2023-24 production with the Mavericks, but he’s a capable shooter who should provide the Nuggets with solid value off the bench.

After two seasons in Brooklyn, Watford is reportedly headed to Philadelphia. While injuries limited the forward to 44 games, he averaged a career-high 10.2 points along with 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 20.8 minutes. Watford gives the 76ers additional frontcourt depth and versatility, but that may not be enough to make him relevant in most fantasy leagues.
