Patriots signed No. 69 overall pick WR Kyle Williams to a four-year contract.

Williams has a chance to contribute early to a receiver room that is short on talent behind Stefon Diggs. Williams caught a career-high 70 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns last season at Washington State while averaging an impressive 17.1 YPR. He played 82 percent of his career snaps on the outside and will likely get a chance to play a similar role with the Patriots this season. That said, he’ll still have to clear a handful of vets on the depth chart if he hopes to break camp as a starter.
