Aidan O’Connell completed 14-of-20 passes for 96 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Raiders’ preseason Week 2 game against the Cowboys.

Both Gardner Minshew and O’Connell were held below 100 yards through the air on 21 and 20 pass attempts, respectively, doing little to sway the preseason quarterback battle between the two in the process. O’Connell entered the game after the first drive of the second quarter and played into the fourth quarter. The decision on which quarterback will start the season under center for the Raiders is expected to come on either Sunday or Monday, giving the victor a full three weeks to prepare for the team’s opening weekend game against the Chargers.
