David Njoku

Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) will not play in Week 3 against the Giants.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Njoku was unlikely to suit up earlier this week. He was listed as a DNP for all three practice sessions. Jordan Akins will take his place in the lineup. Akins is primarily a blocker and only caught one pass in Week 2. He’s a weak bet even as a TE2 for the Browns’ matchup with the Giants.
