Deebo Samuel caught 5-of-9 targets for 54 yards in the 49ers’ Week 1 win over the Jets, adding 23 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Samuel was clearly the focal point of the offense in the first half before the team rode former undrafted free agent running back Jordan Mason to a comfortable victory. His nine targets and eight carries combined for 17 total opportunities on a night no other pass-catcher saw more than five targets.
