Derek Carr

Derek Carr

NOSQB • #4

Derek Carr completed 28-of-36 passes for 239 scoreless yards in the Saints’ 26-24, Week 4 loss to the Falcons.

Carr also threw a hellacious pick-six on a botched receiver screen and got stood up on a pair of fourth quarter quarterback sneaks from the one-yard line. It was his first scoreless outing of the season, though that had something to do with Taysom Hill vulturing a pair of goal-line touchdowns before once again getting hurt. Carr had multiple end zone shots to Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave that weren’t converted for touchdowns. It wasn’t a bad start, per se, but it was more like pre-2024 Carr than what we saw in Weeks 1-2. Gravity has sadly returned in New Orleans. The Chiefs’ elite defense awaits for a Week 5 road date on Monday Night Football.
