Deshaun Watson (shoulder) said he’ll be ready to play in Week 1.

For a player who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in mid-November, Watson being ready to go by Week 1 shouldn’t come as a surprise. Watson, who has the highest 2024 base salary of any quarterback in the league, has already begun throwing this offseason, and head coach Kevin Stefanski said earlier this offseason that Watson is “right where he needs to be,” with his recovery. It sounds like there are few, if any concerns about Watson’s availability for the upcoming season.
