Dorian Thompson-Robinson
CLE • QB • #17
Dorian Thompson-Robinson completed 20-of-34 passes for 157 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Browns’ 24-6, Week 16 loss to the Bengals, adding nine carries for 49 additional yards.
Things went about as expected for DTR in his first start since Week 12 of last season. The second-year quarterback looked uneasy in the pocket for most of the day and absorbed five sacks while avoiding several more. He nearly led a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter, but had an 11-yard touchdown run called back on a holding play. Four plays later, DTR through his first of two interceptions on back-to-back drives. Thompson-Robinson completed just four passes for 41 yards to Browns receivers on the day, but helped David Njoku to a solid 8-66-0 line on 10 targets. The Browns didn’t cutdown on turnovers with DTR under center but did cutdown on points. We’ll see if he earns another start in Week 17 against the Dolphins or if Jameis Winston gets the nod after being inactive this week.
