Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry

BALRB • #22

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Ravens agreed to terms with Derrick Henry, formerly of the Titans, on a two-year deal worth up to $20 million.

Henry’s deal includes $9 million guaranteed in his first season with Baltimore. The longtime Titans back will now line up alongside Lamar Jackson in the Ravens backfield and should bring some pop to a backfield that has lacked explosive rushes in recent seasons. While his otherworldly metrics have fallen in recent seasons, Henry was still the league’s second leading rusher last year. Henry will likely split backfield duties in Baltimore; he’s never been trusted as a pass catcher, never having more than 33 receptions in a season during his eight years in Tennessee. In Baltimore, Henry will run behind an offensive line graded by PFF as the NFL’s sixth best run-blocking unit in 2023.
