Ezekiel Elliott rushed six times for 16 yards in the Cowboys’ Week 2 loss against the Saints, adding two receptions for 16 yards.

After operating as the lead back last week, Elliott was the third running back to enter the game for the Cowboys this week. He saw his first touch on the Cowboys’ second offensive possession, behind Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn. Elliott looked spry on a shovel pass he took 15 yards in the third quarter, but was seldom effective outside of that. The backfield workload seems to still be shaping up, but Elliott is best left on fantasy benches Week 3 against the Ravens.
