Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett

NEPQB • #7

Jacoby Brissett completed 15-of-24 passes for 121 yards and rushed seven times for 32 yards in the Patriots’ 16-10, Week 1 victory over the Bengals.

While the Patriots won, Brissett didn’t exactly cover himself in glory on Sunday. He had 5.0 yards per attempt and the closest he came to throwing a touchdown was a jump ball to Hunter Henry in the end zone that fell incomplete but just as easily could have been an interception. It’s no surprise that the Patriots leaned on the running game with Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson combining for 32 carries. Brissett is going to hit the bench for Drake Maye at some point this year, but even before that happens his fantasy utility is relegated to deep superflex formats. Brissett is hardly on the fantasy radar for the Patriots’ Week 2 matchup against the Seahawks at home.
