Jordan Mason rushed nine times for 73 yards in the 49ers’ Week 6 win over the Seahawks, adding a nine-yard reception.

The real story, of course, is the shoulder injury that prevented Mason from finishing the game. Declared questionable instantly upon going down in the second quarter, Mason was actually cleared to return at halftime. However, he wasn’t heard from again after taking the ball on the first play of the third quarter. He was seen on the sideline trying to get loose/fortify his shoulder, and it just didn’t work. In his stead, rookie Isaac Guerendo took the rock 10 times for 99 yards, including a game-icing 76-yard rumble late in the fourth. The good news for Mason is that he has 10 days to get ready for Week 7 against the Chiefs, but he could be looking at missed game time. Stay tuned.
