Josh Allen

Josh Allen

BUFQB • #17

Josh Allen completed 16-of-27 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns before leaving in the fourth quarter in Buffalo’s 40-14, Week 17 win over the Jets, adding five carries for 17 yards and a touchdown.

He left with the Bills up 33-0. Allen hit Amari Cooper up the sideline with a gorgeous ball then floated a pop up to Keon Coleman that looked like a heat check and narrowly avoided a Jets defender’s hands for his second score. His best throw on the day was actually an incompletion, one where he drifted and avoided two Jets defenders on a blitz, then threw to Coleman coming back on the sideline. Coleman dropped it. With this win clinching Buffalo in the No. 2 seed, it’s possible that Sean McDermott rests Allen in Week 18. Allen apparently wants to keep his start streak alive, but that might be just a token appearance. The numbers weren’t jaw-dropping, but there were a few dropped balls that hurt Allen’s cause. Allen remains thoroughly in the MVP conversation.
