Josh Downs suffered an ankle injury during practice Wednesday.

Downs was helped off the field after picking up the injury during seven-on-seven drills at training camp. Colts head coach Shane Steichen said he’s “unsure” of the severity of the injury. The team will likely be cautious with the second-year wideout, who had a promising rookie campaign with 68 receptions for 771 yards and two touchdowns. Downs profiles as the Colts’ primary slot receiver and the WR2 behind Michael Pittman.
