Justin Fields completed 3-of-4 passes for 40 yards while rushing for 14 yards on three attempts in Saturday’s preseason tilt against the Lions.

Fields came in after Russell Wilson played the first series of the game. He did take a few sacks and fumbled another snap, but he made some decent throws before giving way to Kyle Allen. Based on how Saturday went, it’d be a fairly large surprise if Wilson wasn’t the starter, but there likely will be a short leash.
