Mike Tomlin said Russell Wilson (calf) is “scheduled to be a participant” in the Steelers’ preseason game against the Bills on Saturday.

The report comes from ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. Tomlin caveated the statement by saying Wilson will participate “if he doesn’t have a setback,” though that bit goes without saying. Justin Fields failed to steal the starting role last week so a productive, turnover-free showing from Wilson should keep him in pole position.
