Brock Purdy
SFF • QB • #13
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Brock Purdy’s new contract includes “a full no-trade clause for the duration of the deal.”
It’s not often we see teams looking to trade away a quarterback they just slapped a five-year extension on, but in the event the Niners ever do consider moving Purdy, it won’t be without his permission. Purdy, 25, is now under contract with the Niners through the 2030 season and will earn $181 million in guaranteed money on his deal. He’s coming off a down season in which he threw for 3,864-20-12 in 15 games, but the blame for last year’s 6-11 disaster extends well beyond Purdy’s play and the injuries to several members of his supporting cast. Purdy and the Niners appear to be committed for the long haul, but in the event of any buyer’s remorse on the 49ers end — a la the Falcons and Kirk Cousins, Purdy would have to sign off on any trade between now and the end of his deal.
