Patriots signed S Jabrill Peppers to a three-year, $24 million contract extension.

Peppers was arguably the top defender for the Patriots last season. The veteran safety totaled 78 tackles, two interceptions, and eight pass breakups while earning a PFF defensive grade of 87.3. Peppers was solid in coverage last season but has also excelled against the run. He’s been utilized heavily in the box during his tenure with the Pats and is expected to see continued usage as a versatile chess piece on defense. ESPN’s Field Yates reports Peppers can earn up to $30 million on his new contract. He is now tied to the Patriots through the 2027 season.
