Sam LaPorta caught 1-of-2 targets for 25 yards in the Lions’ Week 7 win over the Vikings.

It’s simply not happening for LaPorta this year. He has been held under three catches in four-of-six games this year and has peaked at four grabs for 53 yards. His only touchdown came on a double reverse flea flicker last week. That was another one-catch game. LaPorta’s talent has changed, but the complexion of the Lions’ offense has. The second-year tight end has been scarcely involved so far and there’s no reason to think that will change in Week 8 against the Titans.
