Cam Akers

Texans declared RB Cam Akers, WR John Metchie, OG Nick Broeker, LB Jamal Hill, and S MJ Stewart inactive for Week 1 against the Colts.

Akers made the Texans’ roster after signing in Houston during training camp. However, this goes down as a healthy scratch and locks Dameon Pierce into the RB2 role to start the year. Pierce is worth a stash in deeper fantasy formats but doesn’t appear to have any stand-alone value.
