Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy told reporters after the game that Turang was still feeling the effects from his recent illness and was having trouble breathing, which is why he was pulled from the game. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see him get another day to rest on Saturday, but he shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. The 25-year-old speedster should be considered day-to-day.

Priester doesn’t get the loss because he worked in relief, but he was deserving. The 24-year-old threw 101 pitches after relieving Tyler Alexander, and he walked four while allowing seven hits. The big blow was a grand slam by Michael Busch, but Priester was ineffective for the bulk of this outing. He’s scheduled to pitch next Wednesday against the Astros.

Evan in a month where Contreras didn’t exactly live up to his lofty expectations, the approach never changed. With two free passes, he’s drawn two walks in back-to-back games, and his on-base percentage is a very healthy .376 over the first 30 games of 2025. He’s also hit a decent .260 in that timeframe, but fantasy managers are still waiting to see some pop from Contreras on a more consistent basis with just three five -base hits over 107 at-bats. The pop should start showing up, as he’s far too talented a hitter to be slugging just .365 for much longer.

Megill allowed a hit and a walk to put the winning run at the plate, but he was able to escape without giving up a run. The 31-year-old struck out two, and lowered his ERA to a still-disappointing 4.32 while procuring his third save of the season. He should remain the closer as long as the results don’t implode, but there are other options in the Milwaukee bullpen.

Lopez sustained the injury while in the field during the first inning of Friday’s battle against the Athletics. He’s currently undergoing further evaluation. Javier Sonaja replaced him at second base on Friday night and could be in line for increased action there if Lopez winds up missing any time.

Tigers’ manager A.J. Hinch noted that Torres was removed from Friday’s game due to minor tightness in his hamstring and that the team had already planned to give him the day off on Friday anyways. He’s tentatively expected to return to the Tigers’ lineup on Saturday.

No word yet on what exactly happened here, but Lopez was replaced when the Marlins took the field in the top half of the second inning. Expect the Marlins to provide an update on his status shortly.
