De La Cruz took Pirates starter Andrew Heaney deep with a no-doubter to left field in the third inning for his second career grand slam. It was his third round-tripper of the season and wound up being his lone hit in four at-bats in a relatively low-scoring contest at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. The 23-year-old X-factor is still striking out close to 30 percent of the time, but it won’t make a significant difference for fantasy purposes, especially if his elite power/speed combo remains intact.

Marte put Cincinnati ahead for good with a 101-mph triple into the left-center field gap that brought Gavin Lux around to score all the way from first base. The 23-year-old former top prospect appears to be putting together a legitimate breakthrough campaign this season, hitting .370 (17-for-46) with three homers, 16 RBI and four steals in 13 games since returning to the majors back in mid-April. He’s worthy of a roster spot in all fantasy formats as a five-category impact contributor. He’s showing exactly why he was such a highly-touted prospect prior to last year’s suspension and struggles upon returning from the extended layoff.

McLain snapped an 0-for-21 hitless streak with a seventh-inning single and immediately swiped second base for his fourth theft of the season. The 25-year-old speedster has gotten off to an ice-cold start this season, hitting .162 (12-for-74) with four homers and four steals through 20 games. We’re anticipating he’ll turn things around soon simply because he’s way too talented to continue struggling for much longer.

Tovar told MLB.com’s Thomas Harding on Monday that he’s feeling better, but has only progressed to jogging as he works his way back from a left hip contusion that put him on the injured list back on April 19. He’ll need to advance to sprinting and running the bases at full speed before he’s cleared for a rehab assignment.

Peña finds himself in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive contest with Jose Altuve hitting second after sitting out Sunday’s series finale against Kansas City. The Houston Chronicle’s Matt Kawahara notes it’s the first time Altuve hasn’t led off since June 17, 2023. Peña, who has moved around between several lineup spots this season, is hitting .255 (25-for-98) with three homers and five steals through 27 games.

Turner got the Phillies on the board in the third inning with an RBI single off of Jameson Taillon that plated Bryson Stott. He then strolled to the dish with the bases loaded and one out in the 10th inning, and hit a slow roller to third base that he beat out at first to bring in another run. With his three-hit attack, the 31-year-old infielder is now slashing .262/.345/.330 on the season with just one homer, nine RBI and six stolen bases.
