Goodman got the Rockies back into the game with a two-run homer off Anthony Benda to make it 5-3. The 25-year-old has shown some solid pop with four homers and a .468 slugging percentage over 51 at-bats, but he’s essentially a one-category player for fantasy purposes.

With the loss, Senzatela now is 1-5 on the season. Sometimes wins and losses don’t do a great job of telling the story of how well a pitcher is throwing. This one seems pretty apt. The 30-year-old gets the Tigers next week at home, and he should be as far away from fantasy lineups as possible for that start scheduled for Thursday.

The 28-year-old right-hander was scratched from Sunday’s start due to the back issue then took the hill on Monday and was crushed in a loss to the Braves, so it probably makes sense to sit him down and get the issue resolved. Bradley Blalock was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque and is expected to take his place in the club’s rotation.

With Ryan Feltner (back) landing on the injured list on Friday, it sounds like Blalock will have another opportunity to show what he can do in the Rockies’ rotation. The 24-year-old hurler holds a 10.29 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and a 3/2 K/BB ratio over seven innings in three appearances with the Rockies this season. He remains irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Finally, some genuine signs of life from Diaz. He was just a few feet shy of a two-homer game as his double fell just short of the wall and he scorched each of those hits at least 104 mph off the bat. He’s recorded a hit in seven of his last nine games and over that span took a paltry .404 OPS all the way up to a still very mediocre .597 OPS.

Kirk delivered a two-run single off of Logan Allen in the third inning that gave the Jays their first lead of the game at 2-1. He added another pair of singles in the contest as well. With the three-hit effort, the 26-year-old backstop is now hitting .260/.287/.354 on the young season with a pair of homers and 12 RBI.

The 29-year-old hurler will add a fresh arm to the Mets’ bullpen in advance of Friday night’s battle against the Cardinals. He had registered a 4.35 ERA, 1.84 WHIP and a 14/9 K/BB ratio over 10 1/3 innings at Triple-A Syracuse. Ty Adcock was optioned out in a corresponding move on Friday.
