Cowser gave the Orioles a three-run cushion with his two-run shot off Tyler Alexander. It’s the 16th homer of the season for the 25-year-old, and he’s driven in just 38 runs over his 82 games. Cowser has been a disappointment due to health and production (.201/271/.386), but he’s a good buy-low candidate for the 2026 season based on his talent and production in 2024.

Cowser’s was the biggest of back-to-back-to-back homers off Nestor Cortes in the third. He made a bid for a second homer off Robert Suarez in the ninth, but Ramón Laureano made a jumping catch at the wall in left to steal it away. Cowser did strike out in his other three at-bats today, but no one is complaining about that right now. He came into the day 3-for-26 with no RBI and a 13/1 K/BB in his previous seven games.

Cowser took Red Sox reliever Richard Fitts deep in the second inning for his 12th big fly of the season before adding a two-run single in the ensuing frame. It was his third three-hit performance of the season. He’s caught fire over the last handful of games, batting .310 (9-for-29) with three homers, eight RBI and one steal in his last seven contests.

Cowser put the Orioles on the board with a two-run single in the first inning. He then tied the game with a solo homer off AJ Blubaugh to lead off the fifth. It was the second straight game with a homer and the 11th of the season for the 25-year-old outfielder. He’s slashing .215/.283/.413 with 26 runs scored, 27 RBI, and seven steals across 244 plate appearances.

The Red Sox should have scored the tying run in the 11th, but after a cowardly sac bunt to begin the inning, they chose not to send Nate Eaton from third on Roman Anthony’s fly to center with one out. Cowser made an awful throw home, and Eaton would have scored easily, but the Red Sox simply gave up and lost when Alex Bregman popped up afterwards. The win leaves them 8 1/2 games back of the Red Sox in the AL East, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising if the Orioles, for all of the grief they’ve taken this year, finish with the better record of the two teams.

Cowser returns to Baltimore’s outfield mix Cowser returns to Baltimore’s outfield mix for Sunday’s series finale against the Astros after missing just over one week with a concussion. The 25-year-old has been snake-bitten by injuries this season, which have limited him to just 56 games with six weeks left in the year.

It sounds like Cowser may have sustained the concussion when crashing into the outfield wall during the sixth inning of Wednesday’s game against the Phillies. No word yet on how severe the symptoms are or how long he’ll be sidelined for. Jordyn Adams was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to add outfield depth for the O’s on Friday.

Cowser tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth inning and scored the tying run in the ninth inning. The 25-year-old outfielder had his season derailed by a fractured thumb, but still has the chance to finish strong and build towards a better 2026 season. He’s hitting .219 with a .700 OPS and 22 RBI this year.

Cowser did his damage off of Edwin Uceta in the sixth inning, crushing a 369-foot (96.7 mph EV) three-run blast that gave the Orioles a 4-1 advantage. The 25-year-old outfielder also led off the fifth inning with a double, though he never advanced past second base. With his two-hit night, Cowser is now hitting .210/.269/.532 with six long balls and 10 RBI.

Cowser’s home run was a 388-foot shot that left the bat at 100 mph and was one of three balls he hit on the day that had exit velocities of at least 100 mph. He now has five home runs and one steal in 16 games on the season, which shows his true power/speed upside. He needs to be rostered in all formats, and the batting average should tick up soon.

Cowser gave the Orioles a 2-1 advantage in the fifth inning with a 405-foot (109.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Rays’ right-hander Zack Littell. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but it proved to be the difference in the ballgame. On the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is hitting just .182/.237/.418 with four homers and four RBI in his first 59 plate appearances.

Cowser is in left field and batting eighth on Monday night following a three-game absence stemming from a collision with the center-field wall during last Thursday’s showdown against the Tigers. Cowser will get some extra time off to rest and recover following a collision with the center-field wall during Thursday’s game against the Tigers. The 25-year-old outfielder isn’t dealing with anything specific from an injury standpoint, but he’s going to sit out his third consecutive contest on Sunday afternoon. It’ll be Cedric Mullins patrolling center field in his place.

Cowser is dealing with a variety of injuries after crashing into the outfield wall on Thursday and has now missed each of the O’s next two ballgames. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to require a trip to the injured list, but if he isn’t ready soon the Orioles’ hand may be forced here. Cedric Mullins will start in center field and bat eighth for the O’s against Tyler Anderson and the Angels on Saturday.

Cowser was held out of Baltimore’s lineup on Friday evening following a collision with the center-field wall during Thursday’s game against the Tigers. The fact that he isn’t dealing with anything specific, based on comments from Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino, is an encouraging sign. He should be available off the bench this weekend and seems likely to avoid a trip to the injured list.

Cowser absolutely clobbered a solo homer off Luis Severino in the sixth that went an estimated 457 feet. It’s the third homer of the season for the 25-year-old, and it is of course worth mentioning that total has come in just nine games after missing significant time with his fractured thumb. Cowser has been a streaky hitter over his short major-league career, but he’s more than talented enough to be a strong fantasy option for 2025 and beyond as long as he’s healthy.

Cowser was a welcome addition to the Baltimore lineup on Tuesday after a two-month absence with a broken thumb. He went yard off Eduard Bazardo for a solo homer to lead off the sixth inning for his second home run of the season after going 2-for-16 across his first four games prior to the injury.

Cowser will make his return to Baltimore’s lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park after missing just over nine weeks when he fractured his left thumb on an ill-advised head-first slide into first base back on March 30. The 25-year-old was one of the more impactful young outfielders in the fantasy landscape last year when he delivered a 24-homer, nine-steal rookie campaign to finish second in AL Rookie of the Year Award balloting. Fantasy managers should make sure he’s back in lineups this week, especially with series against the Mariners and Athletics on tap.

He also played the entire game in left field. Cowser has been in Triple-A since Thursday, and he may need a few more games before the Orioles bring him back up to the big leagues. It shouldn’t be too much longer, so it’s time to stash Cowser if he’s available in your league.

Cowser, on the 60-day IL with a fractured thumb, is eligible to return May 30 and, barring a setback, should be ready then. The Orioles might send down Heston Kjerstad to make room for him.

The procedural move opens up a spot on Baltimore’s 40-man roster. Cowser won’t be ready to return until at least early June as he continues his rehabilitation from surgery to repair a fractured left thumb. He should be ready to head out on a minor league rehab assignment in a couple weeks, but has yet to resume baseball activities.

He hasn’t experienced any setbacks in his recovery from surgery to repair a fractured left thumb. He should be ready to head out on a minor league rehab assignment in a couple weeks.

Cowser’s potential return timeline from a fractured left thumb has narrowed considerably from last month’s initial 6-8 week estimate. The 25-year-old outfielder is still several weeks away from starting a minor league rehab assignment, but it’s encouraging that he hasn’t suffered any setbacks during his rehabilitation process.
