Hendricks racked up an uncharacteristic eight strikeouts in the ballgame and didn’t walk a batter. All of the scoring done against him came in the fourth inning as Christian Walker slugged a solo home run, Zach Cole delivered an RBI double and then swiped home as part of a double steal. The 35-year-old soft-tossing right-hander got 16 swings and misses on 108 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 31 percent. He finishes the 2025 season with an 8-11 record, 4.76 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 114/43 K/BB ratio over 164 2/3 innings in 31 starts.

Hendricks, 35, has been adequate after the Angels rushed to sign him for $2.5 million last winter, going 8-10 with a 4.79 ERA through 30 starts. He spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Cubs, claiming the NL ERA title in 2016 and receiving Cy Young votes both then and in 2020. His final start, if the retirement comes to be, will likely be in a meaningful game, as he’s due to face the Astros on Friday.

Hendricks struck out five batters in the improbable effort and didn’t walk a batter. The only real threat against him came in the second inning as Jordan Beck poked a leadoff single into center field, swiped second base and was sacrificed over to third. He would be doubled off on a pop out to end the inning though. The 35-year-old crafty righty got seven whiffs on 85 pitches on the night — four of those on his changeup — while posting a solid CSW of 31 percent. He’ll try to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 106/43 K/BB ratio (159 2/3 innings) into his final start of the season on Friday against the Astros.

Oof. On the plus side, Hendricks racked up six strikeouts on the day while issuing a pair of walks. The Mariners got to him early and often in this one, with Cal Raleigh’s two-run blast in the first inning starting the fun. They added three runs in the third and another four while chasing him in the fourth inning. He’ll try to forget this start ever happened as he carries a 5.01 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and a 101/43 K/BB ratio (152 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Hendricks was outstanding on Tuesday, scattering four hits and one walk over seven shutout innings against the Twins. He tossed an efficient 58-of-80 pitches for strikes and collected six strikeouts. The 35-year-old right-hander will take a 4.58 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 95/41 K/BB ratio across 149 1/3 innings into a start against the Mariners in Seattle on Sunday.

Hendricks, who went without a strikeout tonight, gave up homers to Adam Frazier and Vinnie Pasquantino before departing a one-run lead that didn’t hold up. Despite turning in back-to-back quality starts, Hendricks is still without a win since the end of July. He’ll take a 4.81 ERA into next week’s start against the Twins.

Hendricks averaged a season-high 87.3 mph with his sinker tonight and got through six for just the second time since the All-Star break. With only one run of support before exiting, he went without a win for the sixth straight outing, but he did his part. At 6-9 with a 4.89 ERA in 26 starts, he’s given the Angels probably a little more than they should have expected this season. He’ll likely face the Royals on Thursday.

Hendricks gave up five hits, walked three and struck out two. The 35-year-old right-hander allowed at least three runs for his fourth consecutive start. Hendricks had three strikeouts or less for the seventh time in his last nine starts. He has a 5.04 ERA and 87/37 K/BB ratio in 130 1/3 innings this season. After a scoreless first inning, Noelvi Marte took Hendricks deep with a solo homer in the second. The Reds brought two more runs in to score in the fourth on a walk and three hits. A walk and a single plated one more run in the fifth. Hendricks would give the Angels one more inning, ending his day with three strikeouts. The 35-year-old right-hander will take a 4.93 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and an 85/34 K/BB ratio across 126 innings into a start against the Rangers in Texas on Monday.

Hendricks allowed three runs in the first inning, and another pair in the fourth inning. The 35-year-old didn’t have his best control, as he issued three walks on top of allowing six hits. Hendricks escapes with a no-decision because the Dodgers’ bullpen faltered, but it’s another ineffective outing. Hendricks is obviously not someone who can be trusted as a fantasy option against the Reds next week.

Hendricks gave up five hits, walked none and struck out six. The 35-year-old right-hander ended up allowing three runs, but kept the Tigers off-balance with six strikeouts. He’s allowed three runs or less in 10 of his last 11 starts. Hendricks has a 4.63 ERA and 78/28 K/BB ratio in 116 2/3 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Dodgers at home next week.

Hendricks scattered four hits with two walks, and he struck out a pair. It was far from a dominant outing for the veteran right-hander, but he deserved better than a loss. His offense can’t say the same. Hendricks takes a 4.59 ERA into a start scheduled for Friday against the Tigers. Look elsewhere.

The 35-year-old crafty right-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing only one base on balls. Hendricks retired the first 12 batters that he faced in order until Josh Naylor’s leadoff single in the fifth inning. The only damage done against him came on a solo blast by Cal Raleigh to lead off the seventh inning — the final hitter Hendricks would face. He got seven swings and misses on 71 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll attempt to replicate this fine performance as he carries a 4.73 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 70/26 K/BB ratio (106 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the White Sox.

The 35-year-old right-hander struck out a pair of batters on the evening while allowing one base on balls. He kept the Mets off the board entirely through the first four innings, but they broke through in the fifth as Francisco Alvarez clubbed a game-tying two-out, two-run homer. Ronny Mauricio then singled, stole second and scored on an RBI knock by Brandon Nimmo. Hendricks got seven whiffs on 67 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 30 percent. He’ll carry an uninspiring 4.92 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 67/25 K/BB ratio (100 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Mariners.

Hendricks was fortunately given plenty of run support so he doesn’t pick up what would’ve been a deserved loss. His struggles Wednesday see his first-half end with an ERA of 4.88 and a K/BB of 65/24 over 96 innings. It probably goes without saying, but he remains without a semblance of fantasy value against all but the absolute worst lineups. Even then you should scour for other options.

Hendricks gave up four hits, walked none and struck out two. The Blue Jays didn’t threaten until the sixth inning. Hendricks allowed a double and two singles before exiting with the only out he recorded in the inning coming on a sacrifice bunt. The 35-year-old right-hander has a 62/23 K/BB ratio and 4.68 ERA in 92 innings this year. Hendricks will face the Rangers at home next week.

Hendricks scattered five hits, and he was able to strike out five; a total he’s only reached five times in his 16 starts. The veteran right-hander put together a solid June with an ERA of 3.21 over 28 innings, and it lowers his season mark to 4.66. Even with Hendricks pitching relatively well, this is a hard profile to trust, and it would be a mistake to ignore his struggles in the previous months/years. He’ll be back on the bump for the Angels on Independence Day when he faces the Blue Jays.

The veteran right-hander struck out two batters on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. He kept the Astros off the board completely through the first three innings, but they struck for four runs in the fourth inning including a pair of solo homers from Mauricio Dubón and Jeremy Pena. Hendricks returned for the sixth where he issued a leadoff walk before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and that run ultimately came around to score as well. Hendricks got four swings and misses on 69 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll carry a 4.83 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and a 55/23 K/BB ratio (82 innings) into Saturday’s tilt against the Nationals.

Ryan Zeferjahn, Reid Detmers and Hunter Strickland finished the four-hitter, as the Yankees were blanked for a third straight game. It’s the first time Hendricks has struck out nine since he had his fifth career 10-strikeout game on Sept. 18, 2020. He came into today’s game with a career-low 14.5% K rate this season. The win makes him 5-6 with a 4.79 ERA ahead of a start Sunday against Houston.

JP Sears outpitched Hendricks today, but Hendricks outlasted him and got the win after the Angels scored six times in the sixth. It’s Hendricks’ fourth victory to go along with six losses. It’s hard to see him improving a whole lot on his current 5.20 ERA, but he’s giving the Angels a chance; this makes eight straight outings in which he’s pitched at least five innings and allowed no more than four runs. We’ll see if that holds up with a Yankee Stadium start next on the docket.

Hendricks walked two and struck out two. He narrowly avoided giving up a grand slam in the third to Rowdy Tellez, but that sac fly and a fielder’s choice from Leody Taveras gave the Mariners a 3-1 cushion. He also allowed an RBI triple to Julio Rodríguez in the fourth and a run-scoring single by J.P. Crawford in the first. Hendricks was in consistent trouble, and the Seattle offense let him off the hook, to quote a certain former NFL coach. He’ll take an ugly 5.40 ERA into a scheduled start against the Athletics next week.

Hendricks stranded the bases loaded in the third to keep the Guardians off the board before Nolan Jones tripled in a run and scored on an error for a two-run little-league homer. José Ramírez added a run for Cleveland with a solo homer in the fifth. Steven Kwan then took Hendricks deep for a solo shot with two outs in the sixth, and that would be it. Hendricks struck out six. The 35-year-old right-hander will take a 5.34 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 39/18 K/BB ratio across 59 innings into a start against the Mariners in Anaheim on Friday.

The 35-year-old right-hander punched out five batters on the day and didn’t allow a base on balls. The Marlins never mounted a major rally against him, but scratched out single runs in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings. Hendricks got 11 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the day — six of those on his changeup — while posting a solid CSW of 32 percent. He’ll see if he can further improve upon his unsightly 5.23 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 33/16 K/BB ratio (53 1/3 innings) when he takes on the Guardians in Cleveland on Saturday.

The A’s brought a run in on Hendricks in the second inning on three hits. Shea Langeliers later led off the fourth inning with a solo homer. Nick Kurtz then took him deep for a two-run shot. Hendricks would leave with two out and one runner on the sixth at 90 pitches -- 63 for strikes. He struck out three with no walks. The 35-year-old right-hander will take a 5.32 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 28/16 K/BB ratio across 47 1/3 innings into a start against the Marlins in Anaheim on Sunday.

A very Kyle Hendricks-like start from, well, Kyle Hendricks. He was able to strike out five, but he didn’t fool Baltimore hitters for most of the contest and gave up all three runs in the first two innings. It could have been worse, but it’s pretty clear there won’t be too many starts like the 7 2/3 innings of one-run baseball like he had the last time out against the Tigers. He shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups Wednesday for his scheduled bout against the Padres.

Hendricks took a shutout into the eighth before allowing a solo homer to Spencer Torkelson. It’s a nice bounceback for the right-hander after he was shelled for seven runs in just three innings against the Twins in his previous affair. He didn’t walk anyone while fanning three over 104 pitches. When you throw 7 2/3 innings of one-run baseball and still have an ERA of 5.28, you know things have gone pretty bad; especially this early in the season. Hendricks gets the Orioles next weekend.

Yikes. The right-hander punched out three batters in the otherwise miserable performance. The Twins scratched out a run against him in the first inning and added two more in the third — one of them on a solo blast from Byron Buxton. Hendricks then allowed the first four hitters to reach in the fourth inning, three of them via walks, before turning the ball over to the bullpen which would allow all of the inherited runners to score. Hendricks got just four swings and misses on 90 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll try to pick up the pieces as he carries a 5.48 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into Thursday’s matchup against the Tigers.

Hendricks was improved from his loss Sunday to the Astros, but still wasn’t particularly impressive. The 35-year-old struck out just one against two walks, and generated a total of four swings and misses among his 63 pitches. It was far from a disaster, but this isn’t the goal for fantasy managers. It shouldn’t be, anyway. Hendricks is back on the mound over the weekend against the Twins.

Hendricks gave up four hits, three walks and struck out one. It was his first loss of the season. Hendricks looked much like the pitcher we’ve seen in recent years, one that doesn’t miss many bats or crack 90 mph with his fastball. That profile wasn’t enough to make it work Sunday against the Astros. Hendricks has a 4.20 ERA in three starts, but a 4.71 xFIP. We recommend keeping him away from your fantasy lineups. Hendricks is on track to face the Giants next weekend.
