Kim blistered a two-run homer deep to right off Bryce Miller. It’s the third MLB homer for Kim, and he ends his first campaign with a .280/.315/.388 slash. The 26-year-old will be a utility option for the Dodgers in their postseason run.

Kim, who appeared off the bench Tuesday and Wednesday, is starting over Alex Freeland at second base tonight. One of those two is likely facing a demotion to Triple-A once Max Muncy and Tommy Edman are activated (Justin Dean will likely be the first player cut to open up a spot).

Kim, who had been out with shoulder bursitis, went 11-for-34 in a nine-game rehab assignment that saw him play left field three times, shortstop twice and center field and second base once apiece. He’s hit ,268/.337/.456 in the majors this season, in spite of a poor 29% strikeout rate and a 29% hard-hit rate in 146 plate appearances. The Dodgers will probably give him a lot of playing time this week to see if it’ll be worth keeping him in the lineup down the stretch. If he struggles, he could find himself buried once Max Muncy and Tommy Edman return.

Kim kicked off a rehab assignment earlier this week as he works his way back from left shoulder bursitis. It’s a bit unclear what type of role he’ll have with the Dodgers once he’s ready to return, but he figures to come off the bench as a multi-position utility specialist.

Bad timing for Kim, what with Max Muncy and Enrique Hernández both on the IL and Tommy Edman banged up. He already missed Sunday’s game with the problem, but he was able to play Monday. Alex Freeland is being called up to fill in for him.

Kim is back at second base and batting seventh on Monday evening at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati following a one-game absence due to a lingering shoulder ailment. It doesn’t appear to be a significant concern, but the Dodgers are likely to be cautious with his workload over the next few days.

As expected, Kim will take a seat as the Dodgers attempt to manage a lingering shoulder issue that he’s been playing through. There’s been no indication that he’s at risk of landing on the injured list, but that remains a possibility if he’s not feeling better in a couple days.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Kim has been dealing with a shoulder issue over the past week, so the Dodger want to give the 26-year-old a day off. Mookie Betts (personal) is expected back Sunday, so it’ll likely be Betts at shortstop with Miguel Rojas sliding over to second base.

Kim has started only once in the last five games for Los Angeles. Simply put, he isn’t playing enough to make any sort of real fantasy impact outside of extremely deep NL-only formats.

It may seem a bit surprising to have Kim in center field with Tommy Edman at second base, but the decision appears directly related to keeping the versatile veteran’s ankle healthy with less wear and tear. The 26-year-old rookie enters the lineup for the first time in three games with Michael Conforto taking a seat against Padres righty Stephen Kolek.

There simply isn’t an everyday role for Kim with the Dodgers, despite his defensive versatility, with Tommy Edman and Andy Pages playing at second base and center field, respectively. The 26-year-old rookie has started just seven of a possible 16 games since June 1. There’s no path to fantasy relevance in shallow mixed leagues unless he’s going to find a way into the lineup a few additional times per-week.

Kim finds himself back on Los Angeles’ lineup card for the first time in three games after fouling a ball off his leg earlier this week. The 26-year-old rookie hasn’t been playing enough to make an impact for fantasy purposes, which is frustrating for managers rostering him in deeper mixed leagues, since his batting average and stolen base potential would make him appealing in an everyday role.

Kim was one of two Dodgers to procure four hits, joining Tommy Edman in a game that Los Angeles ended up winning by 16. It’s still a relatively small sample for the 26-year-old, but to say he’s impressed in that sample is the understatement of understatements. He’s now hitting .422 in those 45 at-bats with an .800 slugging percentage buoyed by two homers and two doubles. Iti s worth noting that Kim was only in the lineup because Mookie Betts was scratched with a toe injury, but the Dodgers are going to have to find a way to get his bat more involved as long as he’s a semblance of this player.

Kim remains out of the lineup for the fourth straight contest. It’s been mostly Andy Pages and Tommy Edman starting in center field and at second base, respectively, over the past week. The 26-year-old rookie was expected to draw roughly three or four starts per-week between multiple spots, but that hasn’t been the case, even with the Dodgers facing mostly right-handers. It’s going to be challenging for fantasy managers in shallow mixed leagues to justify his roster spot if he’s not in the lineup on a regular basis.

Kim lost a towering fly ball in center field during the early stages of Monday’s series opener, which proved to be costly as it led directly to a pair of runs scoring on the play. It’ll be Enrique Hernández in center field as the Dodgers try to stay away from pushing Tommy Edman, who is not in the lineup, too much from a workload standpoint. The other notable change for Los Angeles as they try to snap a four-game losing streak is Andy Pages getting a start in right field with Teoscar Hernández, who came off the injured list on Monday night, getting a break for workload management reasons.

Kim gets the nod over Andy Pages in center field for Monday’s series opener with both Tommy Edman and Teoscar Hernández back in Los Angeles’ loaded lineup. It’s going to be a bit of a logistical challenge for the Dodgers to find a way to keep the 26-year-old rookie’s bat in the lineup on an everyday basis, but they’ll continue to give him opportunities against right-handed pitching. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that they’re envisioning at least three or four starts per-week at the moment. The playing time concerns will persist, but Kim is at least worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats based on his batting average and stolen base potential.

The Dodgers remain unwilling to give Kim consistent opportunities against left-handed starters, which is the case with veteran southpaw Yusei Kikuchi toeing the rubber on Sunday afternoon. It’ll be Miguel Rojas at the keystone instead. However, they’ve cut ties with veteran utility specialist Chris Taylor and will be rolling with Kim until further notice in a multi-position role, even with Tommy Edman back from the injured list. He’ll presumably split time between second base and center field over the next few weeks when Los Angeles is facing right-handed pitchers. The 26-year-old top prospect is off to an excellent start since being called up back on May 3, hitting .452/.485/.581 with nine runs scored, one homer, five RBI and three steals in 14 games.

Kim put the ball in play four times and notched singles on a 93-mph liner and a 67-mph flare. That’s going to be his game for the most part, and it might be enough to make him a legitimate starter at second base. For now, though, he’s only keeping Tommy Edman’s seat warm.

Kim, who came off the bench in both games this weekend after being called up Saturday, is playing second base and batting ninth tonight. He might have only a few days here to show what he can do before Tommy Edman returns and perhaps takes away his spot.

Kim has hit .253/.323/.478 in the minors, and now the 26-year-old will get his first taste of MLB action after signing with the Dodgers out of Korea in the offseason. The versatile infielder/outfielder could get a chance to play at a variety of places, and he’s worth a look in fantasy leagues even acknowledging some risk when facing MLB pitching for the first time.

Kim gets the call to the majors ahead of Saturday’s game against the Braves after spending the first couple weeks of the year tearing the cover off the ball in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League to the tune of a robust .257/.323/.478 triple-slash line with five homers in 27 contests. The 26-year-old’s defensive versatility and prowess is an added benefit for the Dodgers. Yet, there are legitimate questions regarding his potential fantasy impact outside of the stolen base department, especially as he acclimates to facing big-league pitching for the first time. He’s a promising long-term prospect, but it’s a bit unclear whether he’s going to make an impact for fantasy purposes outside of deeper mixed leagues.

Kim flashed some power earlier during the Triple-A season, but it had been a while since he hit one out. The 26-year-old now has four home runs and 17 RBI in 19 games to go along with a .265/.322/.518 slash line and six steals. He has struck out 25 times and walked only five times in those 19 games, which the Dodgers would certainly like to see him improve on, but there is a lot to like here.

There were zero questions from a defensive standpoint by the conclusion of spring training, but the Dodgers wanted Kim to spend some additional time in the minors working on his swing in advance of his stateside debut. The 26-year-old figures to arrive in Los Angeles at some point in the near future, especially with the Dodgers struggling mightily with defensive miscues. He’s hitting .293 (17-for-58) with three homers and four steals over 13 games in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.
