Jenkins — who was selected fifth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft — launched a majestic 414-foot moonshot to right-center field for his first round-tripper since being promoted to Triple-A back on August 24. The 20-year-old’s combination of size and athleticism makes him one of the most exciting prospects in the fantasy landscape heading into next season. He’s batted .305 with nine homers and 14 steals in 73 games this season across four minor league levels.

The 20-year-old outfielder was awfully impressive in 52 games at Double-A Wichita, slashing .309/.426/.487 with seven homers, 24 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 235 plate appearances. He’s now just one step away from debuting with the Twins and could conceivably get a cup of coffee with the big league club at some point in September.

Jenkins missed time at the outset of the year due to an ankle injury, but he’s showed why he’s one of the most intriguing talents in the dynasty landscape in recent weeks, notching his fifth multi-hit performance in just eight games since the outset of August. The 6-foot-3 outfielder, who is hitting .312 (49-for-157) with six homers and nine steals in 42 games for Double-A Wichita, is an impressive athlete and is really starting to put it all together in the upper minors after injuries limited him to just 108 games combined over the previous two seasons after being selected fifth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft. He’ll finish the year as a top-10 dynasty prospect.

Jenkins went 7-for-25 with a homer and two steals in eight games for the Mighty Mussels. Now the 2023 first-round pick is back where he belongs with the Wind Surge. There’s a good chance he’ll spend the rest of the year in Double-A, but if he excels, perhaps a promotion to Triple-A will come.

Jenkins hasn’t played since suffering a sprained ankle in his second game of the season for Double-A Wichita. He’ll likely play in a few games in Florida before rejoining the Wind Surge.
