Manzardo’s two-run shot was literally the only offense his Guardians could muster up against Jack Leiter and the Rangers’ bullpen. He punished a changeup that sat in the middle of the plate and sent it 417 feet over the center field fence. All in all, Manzardo’s first full season should be considered a success with those 27 home runs, 70 RBI, and a .766 OPS with two games to play.

Manzardo has been starting more games against left-handed pitchers, but perhaps the Guardians feel that Tarik Skubal is a far more difficult challenge. Manzardo has hit .279 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI in 49 games since the All-Star break. He’s shaping up to be a solid fantasy contributor in 2026, but he will give way to Jhonkensy Noel at first base on Thursday. Angel Martinez will also start in center field, and David Fry will start at DH as the Guardians put most of their lefties on the bench against Skubal.

Manzardo was back in the cleanup spot tonight after sitting Tuesday for the second time in four games. It’s been odd to see him continue to be handled like this while functioning as far and away the Guardians’ second-best hitter. His .802 OPS is closer to José Ramírez’s .872 than it is to Steven Kwan’s third-place mark of .712.

The 25-year-old slugger has been mired in a bit of a funk at the plate, slashing just .180/.271/.377 with four homers, eight RBI and an 18/6 K/BB ratio over 70 plate appearances in his last 18 ballgames. Perhaps a night off to clear his head will do some good. David Fry will serve as the team’s designated hitter and bat cleanup against Ian Seymour and the Rays on Friday evening.

Manzardo hit a 418-foot blast off left-handed reliever Steven Matz in the eighth inning for his 24th home run of the season. The 25-year-old is hitting .233 on the season with those 24 home runs and 61 RBI, but he is hitting .270 in 36 second-half games after struggling through some off-field issues. He remains a solid corner infield option and an intriguing target in 2026 drafts now that he figures to be the full-time first baseman in Cleveland.

Manzardo took advantage of a rare mistake from Logan Gilbert to lash a homer over the right-field fence. The 25-year-old’s first full season of action has seen him hit 23 homers and drive in 60 runs over 117 games. There’s work to be done, but Manzardo has a chance to be a very strong fantasy option in the coming seasons.

Manzardo’s home run was his 22nd of the year. The 25-year-old DH hit a solo shot in the sixth inning off George Kirby. It was his first home run since August 12 against the Marlins. Manzardo was slugging just .136 in his last 13 games. Hopefully the home run is a sign he’s turning things around at the plate. He’s hitting .235 with a .775 OPS and 58 RBI this year.

Manzardo’s hit was a little grounder that would have been handled by the second baseman if first baseman Yandy Díaz hadn’t cut in front of him and had the ball go off his glove on a diving attempt. Manzardo’s other ball in play was more impressive; in the third, he hit a ball 397 feet even with the wind working against it. It was just a long flyout tonight, but it would have been a homer most of the time.

Manzardo is up to 20 home runs on the season now. The 25-year-old DH’s season so far has been made up of two hot streaks. He hit his 10th home run of the season in his 38th game. Then he hit just two home runs in his next 32 games before homering eight times in his last 30 games. Manzardo is hitting .244 with an .808 OPS and 52 RBI this year.

Manzardo got the Guardians on the board with an RBI single in the fourth inning. His offensive pace has slowed dramatically following his strong start to the season, but he’s still slashing a somewhat respectable .235/.310/.460 with 18 homers, 49 RBI and one stolen base in 355 plate appearances.

Manzardo had a walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning. The 25-year-old DH continues his hot hitting of late. Manzardo is 15-for-37 (.405) with three home runs in 11 games since the All-Star break. He’s raised his batting average to .240 on the year and has a .789 OPS to go with 48 RBI.

Manzardo takes a seat on Wednesday night with lefty Kyle Freeland toeing the rubber for Colorado at Progressive Field. The 25-year-old former top prospect slugged two homers during Tuesday’s lopsided win and has gone deep five times over his last 11 games. He’s also riding an eight-game hitting streak at the moment. It’ll be Carlos Santana at first base with David Fry occupying the DH spot to kick off Wednesday’s game.

Manzardo is working on an eight-game streak and has five homers in his last 11 games. It seems like time for the Guardians to turn him into a regular, especially if they’re going to do some selling at the deadline. Manzardo has a .780 OPS in his limited action against lefties this season, and his .783 OPS overall is second best on the team to José Ramírez.

The homer, a 332-footer to right that would have left only one other ballpark, broke a 5-5 tie in the sixth. In spite of his success, Manzardo was still lifted in favor of David Fry against a lefty in the seventh. Manzardo has homered in three of his last four starts, though it’s probably still a stretch to say that he’s hot; he’s hitting .200 in 35 at-bats this month. Still, this could continue to be a nice week for him, as the Guardians aren’t due to face a lefty until Sunday.

Manzardo’s home run was No. 15 on the season for him. The 24-year-old DH hit a three-run home run off Aaron Civale in the sixth inning. Manzardo’s home run was his second in as many days and fourth in his last 16 games. He’s hitting .217 with a .735 OPS and 37 RBI this year, and won’t be playable in fantasy leagues without more consistent playing time.

Manzardo drew a walk in the first inning, then took Jordan Leasure deep for a solo homer in the sixth to give the Guardians the lead. He was later lifted in the eighth for a pinch-hitter with a left-handed reliever on the mound. The 24-year-old slugger is up to 14 homers and 34 RBI while slashing .217/.294/.433 across 296 plate appearances.

The 24-year-old slugger had been away from the team since Monday. He returns to a .217/.289/.429 with 13 homers and 33 RBI through his first 284 plate appearances on the season. Jhonkensy Noel was optioned back to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move on Thursday.

Manzardo will be away from the club for the next couple days. The 24-year-old first baseman has played sparingly in recent weeks for Cleveland, making just two starts over the club’s last seven games. It’ll be Jhonkensy Noel coming up to take his spot on the active roster.

Manzardo’s home run was No. 13 of the season. He hit a solo shot off Miles Mikolas in the fourth inning. Manzardo’s home run was just his third in his last 33 games after hitting 10 home runs in his first 38 games this year. He’s hitting .223 with a .749 OPS and 33 RBI on the year.

And that’s why he usually DHs. All three errors came in the third. First, he mishandled a sac bunt attempt, allowing the batter to reach. He then got a double-error after dropping a pickoff attempt at first and making a wild throw home that Bo Naylor didn’t even know was coming. Manzardo finished 1-for-3 at the plate, leaving him 6-for-17 with a homer over his last five games. He’ll almost surely DH tomorrow against Sonny Gray and the Cardinals.

Manzardo sits for the sixth time in the last eight games with lefty Andrew Abbott toeing the rubber for Cincinnati on Tuesday night at Progressive Field. It’ll once again be veteran Carlos Santana at the cold corner with David Fry occupying the DH spot.

Manzardo has started only two of the last seven games for Cleveland. The 24-year-old first baseman has been ice-cold at the plate in recent weeks, hitting .186 (19-for-102) with three homers and one steal over his last 30 games. The numbers have been even scarier over his last seven games as he’s just 3-for-20 during that span. It’ll be Carlos Santana at the cold corner and David Fry at DH on Monday night against Reds veteran lefty Wade Miley.

With David Fry back in the fold, he’s the one starting as the designated hitter against left-hander Max Fried on Thursday evening, which leaves only one spot for Manzardo and Carlos Santana. It’s Santana starting at first base and batting fifth for the Guardians with Manzardo getting a night off. On the season, he’s slashing a meager .211/.300/.443 with 11 homers and 29 RBI.

As a team, the Guardians tallied five hits and seven walks on the evening, with Manzardo accounting for three of those instances on his own. On the season, the 24-year-old slugger is slashing a disappointing .215/.307/.448 with 10 homers, 28 RBI and one stolen base through his first 199 plate appearances.

Manzardo’s run-scoring single in the sixth inning was one of two RBI for the Guardians and one of just five hits on the day. The 24-year-old is now up to 28 RBI, but is slashing just .217/.304/.458 on the season. His plate discipline has remained strong all season, so the batting average should be higher, but it’s now almost June and he has 25 strikeouts to just eight walks in May, so it’s possible we may not see the batting average tick up like we want to.

It’s just a day off to rest and reset for Manzardo, who is 7-for-36 (.194) over his last 12 games with one home run and three RBI. His process stats remain strong with good swing decisions and plate discipline, but he’s going to need to turn that into more consistent results soon.

The home run was Manzardo’s sixth of the season, and he now has 16 RBI as well. He homered in the seventh to give the Guardians a three-run cushion and then knocked in the eventual game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning after the bullpen blew the lead. His batting average leaves a little to be desired, but Manzardo’s process has looked great this season, showing a strong understanding of the strike zone and trying to lift the ball more than he has in the past. The hits should start dropping soon.

It appears to be just a routine day of rest for the 24-year-old slugger with right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano toeing the slab for the Orioles. Manzardo has slowed considerably after his strong start to the season as he’s slashing just .185/.313/.463 to go along with four homers and 11 RBI. Jose Ramirez will function as the Guardians’ designated hitter in his place on Thursday with Gabriel Arias sliding over to third base and Daniel Schneemann drawing a start at second base.
