The Lakers raced out to a commanding 63-34 halftime lead thanks to a 21-point first-half eruption from Dončić, who knocked down six of 13 shots — including three from beyond the arc — while also converting six free throws. He eclipsed the 40-point mark for the fourth time this season with three minutes remaining when he got to the line for his 20th free throw of the contest. It was an impressive all-around, stat-stuffing effort on the second night of a back-to-back following Friday’s win over the Pelicans. The 26-year-old generational talent is averaging 34.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 0.6 blocks through 10 games this season. The Lakers are hopeful LeBron James (sciatica) will be ready to make his season debut Tuesday against the Jazz back in Los Angeles when they return to action.

Ayton torched the Bucks for 16 first-half points, draining seven of 10 shots from the field, while also pulling down six rebounds as the Lakers built a 31-point advantage at the half. He scored just four more points in the second half, but his early outburst was enough to help power the Lakers to their 10th win in 14 games to start the year. While the Lakers were on their current road trip, which ends on Saturday in Milwaukee, James practiced with the team’s G League affiliate on Wednesday and Thursday. The second session included some 5-on-5 work, after which James felt no ill effects. According to McMenamin, there’s a chance that LeBron rejoins the Lakers for practice on Monday, provided no issues arise over the weekend. Reaves got off to a blazing hot start to open the year, but after missing three games with a groin injury, he cooled off. However, he got back to being a dominant offensive force in this one. Reaves shot at least 50 percent from the floor in each of his first four games and followed that up by shooting below 50 percent five straight games entering this one. Johnson was dominant in this game, recording the third triple-double of his career and his first of the season. On top of that, he set new career-highs for points, rebounds, assists and steals while matching his career-high for three-pointers. Usually it’s difficult to say if a game is truly the best of a player’s career, but it doesn’t feel hyperbolic to say that for Johnson. He started to break out last season, but shoulder injuries cut his year short. Now, he’s healthy enough to put the league on notice, and the absence of Trae Young (knee) has allowed Johnson to see a bump in usage. With Young likely still a few weeks away from returning, Johnson will continue to run the show in Atlanta, which should lead to more elite production from him. What will be interesting to see is how this team adjusts to Young’s return; the Hawks have the second-best defensive rating in the league in the month of November and have won four in a row without him.

With Kristaps Porzingis (rest) sitting out the second night of the Hawks’ back-to-back, Okongwu got the starting nod, as expected. What wasn’t expected was how effective he’d be from deep. He shattered his previous career-high for triples and set a new career-high for points as well. Okongwu has improved as a deep-range shooter throughout his career, but the strides he has taken this year can’t be understated; he’s averaging 1.6 three-pointers per game this year, which is more than double what he averaged last year. OO is developing into a true stretch five, which makes him and the Hawks even more dangerous. He’s at his best in the box score when Porzingis isn’t available, but the two centers have been able to share the floor at times this year as well. Okongwu will continue to be a reliable option in fantasy basketball, regardless of what format you’re playing in. However, he turns into a fantasy superstar when Porzingis is out, which is worth noting since the Hawks have another back-to-back coming up next weekend.

Injuries opened the door for Krejčí to return to the rotation a few games ago, and he made the most of the opportunity. That earned him more playing time, and he’s stayed hot over the last four games. During this stretch, he is averaging 19 points and 4.8 three-pointers per game while shooting 63.4 percent from the floor. Until Trae Young (knee) is back, Krejčí appears to be worth rostering in deeper formats and is making a push to be a standard-league option.

Wednesday’s game may go down as Reaves’ worst of the season by the time we hit April. Like Luka Dončić, finding spaces in which to operate proved challenging, with Reaves failing to make a three-pointer for the first time this season. This was also the first time he failed to score at least 20 points; that’s how well Reaves was playing before a groin injury sidelined him for three games last week. With his parents sitting courtside, Johnson recorded his third double-double of the season on Monday. Despite being a fixture in the Hawks’ starting lineup when available, Porziņģis has just three 20-point games in eight appearances. A perfect night at the foul line gave his point total a welcome boost on Monday, but fantasy managers can also benefit from the assists and blocked shots. Porziņģis is providing fifth-round value in fantasy basketball, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP of 53.
