Tatum is back much quicker than expected after undergoing surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon on May 13, 2025. Boston is the No. 2 seed in the East, and the team has the luxury of bringing its superstar forward along slowly as he ramps up for a playoff run. Tatum’s minutes will be managed at least in the short term, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on his minutes and Boston’s rotations.

This was the second straight game that Clowney scored 17 points in a loss in Miami, but he did more work from beyond the three-point line in this one. His production has been inconsistent, and he had some rough performances in February, but he is more than capable of making a big impact. He is one of the safest fantasy options in Brooklyn at the moment.

After being held without an assist in Tuesday’s loss in Miami, Traoré responded with his second-highest assist total in a game this season. All nine of his point came before halftime, so this certainly could’ve been a bigger performance for him. Still, it was good to see him provide more playmaking in this outing. They’ll wrap up the week in Detroit on Saturday, which will be another tough matchup.

Following a rough performance in Tuesday’s loss to the Heat, MPJ was better in the rematch, though his field goal percentage was still subpar, and the result on the scoreboard was the same. He continues to be the best fantasy option in Brooklyn, as long as the Nets keep playing him. Brooklyn has lost 10 games in a row, with MPJ playing in nine of them, so his availability hasn’t damaged their lottery odds. He’ll look to stay hot in Detroit on Saturday to wrap up this three-game road trip.

Tatum is definitely coming back this season, and it seems like Friday is the likely date. It makes sense as a bit of a soft landing spot against a Mavericks team that is already looking towards next season. This return date will be less than 10 months after Tatum had surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon. Payton Pritchard is already coming off the bench, but the big question will be how much usage Tatum takes away from Jaylen Brown, who is having a tremendous season.

Brown finished Wednesday’s defeat with his 13th double-double of the season, more than double his total in 2024-25 (five). However, he was unable to help Boston overcome its 38 percent shooting from the field, as the Hornets won 118-89. Given how well Brown has played overall, it would be unsurprising if he rebounded in a big way when the Celtics host the Mavericks on Friday.

White shot the ball well on Wednesday, making over half of his shot attempts and knocking down all eight of his free throws. However, his efforts weren’t enough to keep the Celtics from getting run off their home court. In the 118-89 defeat, only White and Jaylen Brown reached double figures for the Celtics, who shot 38 percent from the field and 10-of-36 from three. Porter’s three-point production matched his turnover count on Tuesday, as he missed all nine of his attempts. Simply put, this was a “burn the tape” game for MPJ, and he’ll look to do better in Thursday’s rematch. On a night when the Nets shot 38 percent from the field, Clowney made half of his shots from the field. The foul line was where the forward/center boosted his point total, but more notable was the rebound total. Clowney’s seven rebounds were the most in a game for him since January 23, when he grabbed nine in an overtime loss to the Celtics. While he can provide three-point value, Clowney doing more on the glass over the final month of the regular season would be a good thing to see happen heading into the offseason.

At this point in the season, there are two concerns for Porter managers: the Nets shut him down, or the team gets blown out. The latter scenario occurred on Friday, limiting MPJ to 26 minutes. Apparently, getting to sleep in one’s own bed can go a long way toward ending a shooting slump. Pritchard finished the Celtics’ road trip on a bad note, shooting 3-of-19 from the field in games against the Suns and Nuggets. He snapped out of that funk against the lottery-bound Nets, shooting 75 percent from the field overall and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. With Jaylen Brown and Nikola Vučević scoring 28 points apiece, White was able to take a back seat offensively in the 148-111 victory. After hitting double figures in his first two games as a Celtic, Vučević went on a run of four consecutive games with nine points or less. To say that he needed a night like Friday was an understatement. Vučević took advantage of an overmatched opponent and starting center Neemias Queta (8/2/1/2/1 in 15 minutes) getting into early foul trouble to have his best game since the trade. Nelson enjoyed a productive stint with Alabama to finish out the last two years of his college career, and he’s posted solid numbers for the Long Island Nets of the G League this season. Having totaled 17 points in his last three games, Wolf was more productive against the Spurs. The 14 points were the most the rookie has scored in a game since the Nets’ final game before the All-Star break, with Wolf hitting that number in a loss to the Pacers. His fantasy value for the rest of the season depends partly on Michael Porter Jr.'s availability. When MPJ is logging starters’ minutes, as he did on Thursday, it’s challenging to get too much value out of Wolf.
