While Sheppard got off to an inconsistent start on the offensive end of the floor, he’s picked up the production recently. The second-year guard has reached double figures in three straight games, and he’s recorded seven steals during this stretch. Sheppard’s four steals on Sunday were a career-high, surpassing the three he recorded in an October 25 loss to the Pistons. While he still isn’t at the point where he has to be rostered in 12-team leagues, Sheppard is a player to watch for the back end of Week 4, as Houston doesn’t play again until Wednesday.

With his streak of three straight games with a double-double ending in Friday’s loss to the Spurs, Şengün got to work on another streak Sunday afternoon. Of the five double-doubles he has recorded this season, the Rockets center has scored at least 20 points in four. He and Kevin Durant have worked well alongside each other, with both ranked safely within the top-50 in eight-cat formats. The Rockets begin a three-game Week 4 on Wednesday against the Wizards.

Durant produced an offensive masterclass on Sunday, missing only four shots from the field and recording his third 30-point game of the season. And this comes on the heels of a three-game run that was anything but the norm for Durant. During that stretch, he averaged 18.7 points per game while shooting 35.2 percent from the field. It’s safe to say that Durant is back on track ahead of Houston’s three-game Week 4, and the Rockets don’t play again until Wednesday.

White was one of three Celtics starters to score at least 16 points, and his 10 assists were a season-high for the guard. Unsurprisingly, he continues to provide excellent fantasy value, ranking within the top-50 in nine-cat formats. The hope for fantasy managers is that White can pick up the scoring, as he has not recorded a 20-point game since the season-opening loss to the 76ers.

Durant added another 20-point game to his collection, marking the sixth time he’s done so as a Houston Rocket. As he often does, the two-time Finals MVP thrived as a scorer at all three levels and also found production at the free-throw line. However, he committed a season-high eight turnovers and totaled his fewest rebounds of the season. Durant lacked the all-around production on Friday, but he will have a chance to have a more balanced performance on Sunday against the Bucks.

Since going through a three-game stretch in which he shot 3-of-21 from beyond the arc, Pritchard has found his stroke. Making five of his eight attempts, the Celtics guard has gone 11-of-25 from deep over the last three games, scoring at least 18 points in each. Pritchard offers limited defensive value, making his three-point production that much more critical to his fantasy value. He and the Celtics will look to even the score when they face the Magic again on Sunday.

Sengun had another balanced performance on Friday against the Spurs, which was good enough to nearly collect a triple-double. Such well-rounded stat lines are the new normal for Sengun in his fifth NBA season, having firmly placed himself on the short list of upper-echelon centers. Inefficient shooting from beyond the arc ultimately led to him falling short of his scoring average and prevented him from achieving an even more dominant final stat line. Still, Sengun logged another solid game overall.

Sheppard set a new season-high in points and logged his second double-digit scoring performance in a row, again using the three-point shot to his advantage on Friday. His best moments came during the second quarter, when he led the Rockets in scoring, tallying eight points and a pair of triples. The second-year guard has seen increased opportunities early in this season and is taking advantage of them. He’s not an impactful fantasy player yet, but he could potentially become one if he remains on this upward trajectory.

Walsh came into November as a forgotten man in Boston’s rotation, playing just four total minutes in October. However, he played 19 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday and then was up to 24 minutes on Wednesday. These were not garbage-time minutes either, as Walsh checked into the game in the first quarter. He was a plus-27 on the night and received praise from head coach Joe Mazzulla after the game, so it’s possible that Walsh could pick up extra minutes at the expense of Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman going forward.

For the third time this season, Simons made at least four three-pointers in a game. Field-goal percentage and assists have been the issues for him thus far, with the Celtics guard shooting 41.2 percent and averaging a career-low 1.6 assists per game. Jaylen Brown wasn’t the only Celtic to make history during Wednesday’s rout of the Wizards. Queta became the first player in franchise history to record at least 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while not missing a shot from the field in a game. Rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats. What may be holding that percentage down is the playing time, as Queta has not surpassed 26 minutes in any game. He’ll be far more popular among fantasy managers if the minutes increase.

Only one of Boston’s five starters, Josh Minott, surpassed 30 minutes on Wednesday. Brown only played 26 and was outstanding, shooting well over 50 percent from the field. And he made some history, becoming the first player in Celtics history to record at least 35 points, five rebounds and five assists in less than 30 minutes of play. While Minott can still have bouts of inconsistency, he’s developing into a player who should be considered in more fantasy leagues. Wednesday’s performance was his best, with the forward notching a career-high point total and three steals. While the 23-year-old plays the center position, he gets a good amount of assists and is currently on pace for a career-high in assists with Fred VanVleet (knee) out this year. Last season, he averaged 3.2 three-pointers per game, but this was the first game this year that he hit more than two shots from deep. This was a solid response from Brown after he was held to just 12 points in Boston’s last game, which came after two straight 30-point outings. However, this was the second straight game that he didn’t get a three-pointer to fall, and he missed all nine attempts in this one. Hauser replaced Josh Minott to start the second half of this game, but that didn’t lead to a good performance from either player. Hauser played 28 minutes to Minott’s 15, and it’s worth keeping an eye on to see if this is a move that will carry over into the Celtics’ game against the Wizards on Wednesday, or if this was just a result of Minott being in foul trouble again. Hauser is a good source of three-pointers, but Minott is a superior option in most other categories.

The Mavericks did a better job defending Thompson after the intermission, but he still recorded an excellent overall stat line. Durant’s unmatched scoring ability has elevated Houston’s offense to another level, as the Rockets boast a league-best 125.2 offensive rating through the season’s first week. Minott continues to provide a spark in his Celtics debut as he’s found a way to contribute across the board for fantasy purposes. He’s been a bit streaky as a shooter, but he’s done a nice job chipping in from a defense and rebounding standpoint thanks to his athleticism and motor. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in deeper fantasy leagues as he’ll remain a key component of the new-look Celtics’ rotation moving forward. Pritchard shot 40.7 percent from behind the three-point line last year, but entering play Friday he was at 18.9 percent this year. The 27-year-old point guard proceeded to go 1-of-9 from three-point land against the 76ers on Friday. After falling one rebound shy of a double-double in Monday’s win over the Pelicans, his first start as a Celtic, Minott was even better on the glass against Cleveland. Not only were his 14 rebounds a career-high, but this was also the second time in his career that Minott had reached double digits in that category (February 8, 2023, with the Timberwolves). Hugo González, who was replaced in the lineup by Minott, only played three minutes on Wednesday. Only rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, Minott is providing top-50 fantasy value. Fred VanVleet (knee) suffered a torn ACL just before the start of training camp. While he has not officially been ruled out for the entire 2025-26 season, a DPE can only be granted if the player will not play. Per the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the exemption would be equivalent to 50 percent of the injured player’s annual salary. VanVleet is due to make $25 million this season. The exemption would give the Rockets more room to account for VanVleet’s absence, which would impact Reed Sheppard’s role if another guard is added to the roster.
