Bogdanović’s absence leaves the Clippers down a perimeter player off the bench, but it does not affect fantasy basketball. There should be more minutes available to Cam Christie, who logged 21 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Hornets. There’s no need to consider rostering him.

Bogdanović did not play in Saturday’s win over the Hornets, resulting in more minutes for fellow reserve Cam Christie. Christie played 21 minutes on Saturday but did not do enough to merit being streamed in any fantasy league. Even if Bogdanović remains out, there’s no need to consider adding Christie.

Zubac hadn’t recorded more than four assists in a game so far this season entering play Saturday, but dished out six assists in the win over the Hornets. Otherwise, the 28-year-old center had a fairly normal game contributing 18 points, nine rebounds and one block. The Clippers close out Week 5 Sunday against the Cavaliers.

Harden was magnificent as he took apart the Hornets offensively. The 36-year-old point guard made history with his 55-point effort, setting the Clippers’ franchise record. It was also Harden’s 25th 50-point game of his career, tying him with Kobe Bryant and trialing only Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan. Harden’s 28.4 points per game this year is his best since 2020, when he won the scoring title. Kawhi Leonard is due back from injury on Sunday, but don’t expect Harden to slow down.

Bogdanović was originally listed as questionable with a hip injury. The 33-year-old shooting guard has dealt with the injury for the better part of a week now. Bogdanović has been on the injury report already this week with a hip injury. The 33-year-old shooting guard seems to be impacted by the injury over his last two games, playing just 21 and 26 minutes while failing to reach 10 points in either context. Normally, Bogdanović would be an interesting streamer with the Clippers shorthanded, but his level of play has suffered over the last two games likely because of his hip injury.

Leonard has missed the last nine games with a foot injury. The Clippers are 1-8 in those games and are desperate to have the 34-year-old small forward back, especially considering the injuries to Bradley Beal (hip) and Derrick Jones Jr. (knee). Paul is in his 21st season in the NBA. The 40-year-old point guard, who is back in his home state of North Carolina to take on the Hornets, posted on social media that he’s “grateful for this last one.” Paul seems to be implying this will be his last game against the Hornets in North Carolina. The 12-time All-Star and 11-time All-NBA point guard was the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Hornets. After Paul officially retires, the only question will be when, not if, he’s elected to the basketball hall of fame.

Brown eclipsed the 25-point plateau for the third consecutive contest and 11th time in 16 games to open the season, but he got into foul trouble in the second half which extinguished any chance Boston had to make this one competitive. The 29-year-old offensive catalyst was forced to the bench with just over five minutes left in the third quarter after picking up his fifth foul and Brooklyn immediately ripped off a 21-9 run to take a 15-point lead into the final stanza. Brown will continue to run Boston’s offense, but he’s going to need some help from his supporting cast if they’re going to have any shot at making the playoffs.

It’s abundantly clear that Simons’ issues on the defensive end of the floor have directly led to Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla being sporadic with his minutes during his Boston debut. However, he topped the 30-minute mark for the first time since late October in this one and wound up scoring 13 points in the second half to make this one a bit closer at the finish line. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers since he’s clearly their best scoring threat at the moment outside of Jaylen Brown with Derrick White and Payton Pritchard struggling to get going this season.

Queta continues to show subtle but meaningful growth on the offensive end, looking more confident as a finisher around the rim and showing noticeably improved burst when rolling to the basket off screens. The 26-year-old can be a bit overmatched in a starting role against elite interior bigs, but he’s handled the expanded workload well and has become a useful stopgap for Boston during this transitional stretch.

Zubac only contributed in the points and rebounds categories, but fantasy managers will undoubtedly take the production. He’s up to nine double-doubles on the season, with Thursday’s 19 boards being a season-high. Due to the Clippers’ many injuries, Zubac and James Harden have been the team’s only reliable options for fantasy managers. The Clippers end Week 5 with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back against the Hornets and Cavaliers, with the latter matchup setting up to be a challenging one for Zubac due to Cleveland’s tandem of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

As has been the case for most of the season, Harden carried most of the offensive workload on Thursday, with Ivica Zubac being the only other Clipper in double figures. Harden has scored at least 31 points in three of his last four games, providing top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past week. The Clippers continue their road trip in Charlotte on Saturday, and that should be a good matchup for Harden.

This will now be the ninth game in a row that Leonard has missed with his multiple foot injuries. White didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, as he continues to struggle in that regard. However, the all-around production is why he remains such a valuable player for category league managers. White recorded a complete stat line on Tuesday and has been a top-15 player over the past week. And he’s shot 44.2 percent from the field, which aligns with his career number (44.1). The shots will fall at a higher clip eventually, and fantasy managers can still receive solid value from White as they wait for that to happen.

After a two-game stretch in which he totaled 10 points on 4-of-17 shooting, Pritchard has scored at least 20 in three straight. During this three-game run, the Celtics guard has averaged 25.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 6.0 three-pointers while shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the foul line. That production has been good for top-20 value, so managers who may have panicked after that poor two-game stretch can calm down.

Brown led all scorers with 29 points and shot a respectable percentage, but the turnovers were an issue. He committed a season-high eight, one more than his tally in an October 24 loss to the Knicks. Brown is averaging a career-worst 3.5 turnovers per game through 15 games, which is why he’s barely hanging onto top-100 status in nine-cat formats. However, Brown has been more valuable by four rounds in eight-cat formats, sitting just outside the top-50, according to Basketball Monster.

Zubac’s final stat line was modest, but the 7-footer did record his eighth double-double of the season on Monday. Six have been tallied over the last seven games, and just as crucial for fantasy managers is the playing time. During this seven-game stretch, Zubac has played an average of 34 minutes, even higher than his career-best mark of 32.8 last season. Brook Lopez, who was brought in to provide legitimate value as the backup center, hasn’t answered the call. On Monday, he played 14 minutes and finished with six points, one rebound and one three-pointer. Until that changes, Zubac will continue to clear 30 minutes, if not approach 35.

Harden had two opportunities to win the game in the final seconds, but both three-point attempts missed the mark. That may have been an appropriate conclusion to what was an inefficient and frustrating night for “The Beard.” Harden shot 2-of-12 from three and wasn’t much better inside the arc, shooting 28 percent overall. A perfect night at the foul line boosted the final point total, but he’s been asked to shoulder a heavy workload due to the Clippers’ injuries. Fantasy managers who have Harden rostered have to hope that he doesn’t get worn down.

Sanders made his first professional start on Monday and delivered solid offensive production. He shot just under 50 percent from the field and notched season-highs in points and three-pointers. While the production outside of those categories was lackluster, Sanders logged 30 minutes. With Cam Christie (two points and one blocked shot) playing 12 minutes and Kobe Brown picking up a DNP-CD, that may bode well for Sanders in the short term. The Clippers will be without Jones for at least six weeks after he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Celtics. Sanders, a second-round pick out of Nevada who has averaged 13.8 minutes in five appearances, will fill the void on Monday. Given the rookie’s limited production thus far, fantasy managers will be better off adding Sanders to their watchlists instead of going “all in” immediately. Harden’s surreal 32-point second half was the driving force behind the Clippers’ late rally, as he nearly willed them to an improbable comeback win in Boston. He buried a pair of clutch three-pointers in the final 10 seconds to make it a one-point game with two seconds left, but missed a potential game-tying trey at the buzzer — a sequence that somehow felt like the perfect microcosm of his entire career. Zubac has been a double-double machine this season, accomplishing the feat seven times through 13 contests. The 28-year-old center had little trouble exploiting Boston’s lack of interior size and depth by repeatedly going to work against Neemias Queta and Luka Garza. The Clippers probably should’ve gone to him more frequently in this one, but they did get 17 points in 30 minutes from fellow big man John Collins. The Clippers are 3-8 and just lost Bradley Beal for the season, so it makes sense that they might start to look to get younger players more minutes. White was one of two Celtics players to score 20 or more points on Wednesday. His total likely could’ve been greater if not for a lopsided victory limiting him to only 26 minutes of game action. A blowout win limited the former Finals MVP to just 25 minutes of game action on Wednesday. Still, he was productive in his time on the floor, scoring efficiently from both inside and outside the arc while tallying more rebounds and assists than his season averages entering Wednesday’s contest. While Brown’s streak of 30-point games ended at three, he’s scored 28 or more in six of his last seven. The Celtics wing has been a better option in eight-cat formats than nine-cat for most of his career, and that has been the case this season as well. While providing eighth-round value in the latter, Brown has been four rounds better in eight-cat. The key to closing the gap is turnovers, of which JB’s averaging 3.6 per game. He had four on Sunday, which was the lone negative to his night.
