Just a few days after being waived by the Nets, Thomas has reportedly found a new home. While a player capable of putting up big scoring numbers, the guard has not shown much ability to make plays for others or defend consistently. He’ll get the opportunity to do that in Milwaukee, hopefully using it as a springboard into free agency in the summer. Thomas’ signing could eventually leave a dent in the playing time for Ryan Rollins, A.J. Green, and Kevin Porter Jr.

Starting for the injured Sam Hauser (back), Scheierman had arguably the best game of his two-year NBA career. The second-year guard recorded his second double-double, finishing with career-highs in rebounds and assists. His fantasy ceiling depends on whether he starts or comes off the bench, but Scheierman will be worth streaming when allowed to approach 30 minutes, as he did against the Knicks.

White shot the ball well on Sunday, which has not been the norm for him this season. The Celtics guard is shooting 39 percent from the field, but his fantasy value remains excellent due to his production across multiple categories. White did not record any defensive stats on Sunday, but that has not been the norm for him. He’ll look to go into the All-Star break on a high note when the Celtics face the Bulls on Wednesday.

Brown did what he could to get the Celtics back into Sunday’s game, including scoring or assisting on all 15 of the team’s third-quarter points. Unfortunately for him, the other Celtics struggled to join the party, and the result was a 111-89 defeat. Brown has been outstanding all season long, and it’s not like he had a bad game on Sunday. He and the Celtics play three games in Week 17, but only one will be played before the All-Star break.

Lower back spasms will keep Hauser out of Sunday’s matchup with the Knicks. Porter Jr.'s second game back from injury was even more impressive than his first. He flirted with a triple-double while leading Milwaukee in scoring along the way. Poor three-point shooting on Friday was about the only blemish, which is a notable one, as he’s now gone 0-of-13 from deep over his last four appearances. If Porter Jr. can regain his form from beyond the arc, it’ll only make him a more valuable fantasy basketball option going forward.

Rollins extended his streak of 20-point games to four on Friday, utilizing the three-point shot to land most of his scoring production, while joining Kevin Porter Jr. and Bobby Portis as the only Bucks players to reach the 20-point mark against the Pacers. Rollins has played many different roles and been cast into a variety of starting lineups this season, but has remained productive through it all. Given his sustained success, there’s no reason for fantasy managers to think Rollins won’t remain productive past the All-Star Break and beyond.

The Bucks secured a third straight win on Friday, with Portis’ scoring playing a key role. In his return from a two-game absence, he finished as one of three Bucks players to score at least 20 points, as he used efficient shooting to reach his high point total. The veteran forward, with Kyle Kuzma (calf) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) both currently sidelined, will continue to function as one of Milwaukee’s most reliable frontcourt options. His offensive production may be key against the Magic on Monday.

Vučević came off the bench in his Celtics debut, and the veteran center put up a double-double. Vooch logged 28 minutes, with Luka Garza (two points, three rebounds) being the holdover whose opportunities took the biggest hit. He started but logged 10 minutes, while Neemias Queta (two points, 11 rebounds, and one assist) logged 22. With Vučević in the fold, those who have Queta rostered can afford to be patient, while Garza managers should seek alternatives immediately.

Pritchard has scored at least 24 points in each of the last three games. The move to the bench appears to have enhanced the guard’s value, an unsurprising development since he won Sixth Man of the Year last season. Just as crucial for fantasy managers is that Pritchard is still playing starters’ minutes. Those who have him rostered may consider selling high in the final days before the default fantasy trade deadline, but they may be better off holding onto Pritchard.

While he didn’t shoot the ball well on Friday, category league managers didn’t take much of a haircut because of White’s overall value. After totaling four blocked shots in his previous seven games, White matched that number on Friday. The four rejections were three shy of his season and career-highs, which were recorded on December 30 against the Jazz. Despite the low field-goal percentage, White is providing third-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster.

Brown and the Celtics started slowly, with the Heat outscoring Boston 29-15 in the first quarter and the All-Star wing shooting 1-of-6 from the field. The home team would eventually get going, pulling even with a 25-7 third-quarter run. Brown has scored at least 29 points in seven of his last ten games, continuing to play at an elite level. After coming off the bench in his first game back from an oblique injury on Wednesday, Porter is in the starting lineup. He fills the void left by the recently traded Amir Coffey, who’s now in Phoenix. The other change is Sims, who is promoted into the starting lineup, pushing Kyle Kuzma to the bench. This is the third trade that Dieng has been involved in this deadline. He went from Oklahoma City to Charlotte to Chicago and now to Milwaukee. There likely isn’t enough time for another deal to happen, so hopefully he has a sense of clarity about where he’ll be headed. Dieng is a former lottery pick that is still only 22 years old, so he’s worth taking a chance on for the Bucks. He should see more minutes that he did in OKC, and as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) remains out, he could end up taking on a significant role during silly season.

Queta was dominant in Wednesday’s blowout of the Rockets, finishing one rebound and one blocked shot shy of his career-highs in those categories. Add in the steals and percentages, and this was an excellent night for Queta managers. The question now is how Nikola Vučević’s arrival affects Queta, but that may be a greater concern for Luka Garza (19/6/2/2 with two three-pointers in 34 minutes). After shooting 4-of-13 from the field in Tuesday’s win over the Mavericks, White was better as the Celtics used a huge third quarter to win in Houston without Jaylen Brown. The Celtics’ guard finished with his first 20-point game in nearly a month, as the 28 points were the most for him since a January 10 loss to the Spurs.
