The good news is that Maxey has been diagnosed with a sprained finger on his right hand, ruling out a fracture following his injury late in Saturday’s loss to the Hawks. His absence on Monday and Tuesday likely means Cameron Payne will move into the starting lineup. While erratic, the opportunity makes Payne a worthwhile streamer in deep leagues.

Pritchard was at his best when the Celtics needed him most, shooting 3-of-3 from the field and scoring nine points in the fourth quarter to help hold off the Cavaliers. The final line featured quality production in points, asssits and percentages, an unsurprising development for the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Tatum got off to an excellent start on Sunday, shooting 4-of-6 from the field and scoring 12 points in the first quarter. He cooled off considerably, shooting 2-of-10 from the field the rest of the way, but the Celtics’ star recorded 20 points in 27 minutes. Boston plays three games in Week 20 without a back-to-back; hopefully, this guarantees Tatum managers that he’ll be available for each.

After totaling 14 points and six rebounds in his last two appearances, Scheierman had one of his best performances of the season on Sunday. The second-year wing recorded his fourth double-double, with the 16 points being the most in a game for him since hitting that number in a January 30 win over the Kings. With Jayson Tatum back in the fold, Scheierman won’t be as valuable to fantasy managers. But he’ll remain a key option within the Celtics’ rotation, providing depth on the perimeter.

Hauser is relied on for points and three-pointers, and he was productive in those areas on Sunday. After making two of his eight three-point attempts in Friday’s win over the Mavericks, he shot 5-of-10 from deep against the Cavaliers. Brown produced another excellent effort on Sunday, finishing one rebound and two assists shy of a triple-double. The Celtics’ wing has seemingly taken a more measured approach in the team’s last two games as Jayson Tatum gets acclimated after missing ten months with a ruptured Achilles tendon. However, that approach has not negatively affected Brown’s output, which has been a positive development for fantasy managers. The Celtics play three games in Week 20, starting with the Spurs on Tuesday.

Back in the 76ers’ lineup after a two-game absence, Oubre looked spry in his 36 minutes on the court. The lone negatives for him were the free-throw percentage and turnovers, with Oubre going 1-of-3 from the charity stripe and committing five turnovers. Depending on what happens with Tyrese Maxey, who injured his right hand during the fourth quarter, Oubre could move up in the offensive pecking order for Philadelphia’s five-game Week 20.

With VJ Edgecome (back) once again sidelined, Grimes remained in the starting lineup despite Kelly Oubre Jr.'s return to action. And he produced a solid stat line, shooting 66.7 percent from the field. The 26 points were two points shy of a season-high for Grimes, who entered Saturday having totaled 32 points in his prior four appearances. Depending on the severity of Tyrese Maxey’s hand injury, Grimes could be a player of even greater importance during Philadelphia’s five-game Week 20.

While Maxey finished Saturday’s defeat with an excellent stat line, that was the furthest thing from anyone’s mind when he left with 16.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The All-Star guard injured his right hand when he collided with teammate Adem Bona. Maxey was scheduled to undergo X-rays on the hand, but no announcement has been made regarding the injury’s severity. After getting off to a hot start in his first two games out of the All-Star break, totaling 56 points, inconsistent production has been an issue for Pritchard. In the six games before Friday, he averaged 9.7 points on 34.4 percent shooting. Pritchard was considerably better against the Mavericks, shooting a shade under 50 percent from the field while providing solid value in multiple categories. He’s another player who should have more room to operate with Jayson Tatum (Achilles) returning to action.

With Jayston Tatum making his season debut on Friday, the entire Celtics rotation had to work through some things early on. Brown and the other starters may have been a bit too deferential early on, but everyone got more comfortable as the game progressed. Brown finished with a team-high 24 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field and recording an excellent all-around stat line. While he played at an MVP level while Tatum was out, getting his partner in crime back could give Brown’s efficiency a boost.

White has scored 20 points or more in five of the eight games he’s played since the All-Star break, averaging 18.2 points per game. While he’s only made 42.1 percent of his attempts from the field since the break, that’s two percentage points higher than his number for the season. And with everything that White brings to the table, the field-goal percentage has not done much harm to his category league value.

After 298 days of rehabbing from a ruptured Achilles tendon, Tatum returned to action on Friday. Unsurprisingly, there was a combination of rust and nerves for the four-time All-NBA forward to work through, and he missed his first six shot attempts. Tatum’s first basket was on a tip dunk with just over one minute remaining in the second quarter, and he would go on to make five straight shots. Tatum was not under any restrictions, playing 27 minutes and checking out for good with 5:01 remaining, the Celtics leading by 25. Boston ends its Week 19 with a game in Cleveland on Sunday.

Tatum is back much quicker than expected after undergoing surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon on May 13, 2025. Boston is the No. 2 seed in the East, and the team has the luxury of bringing its superstar forward along slowly as he ramps up for a playoff run. Tatum is definitely coming back this season, and it seems like Friday is the likely date. It makes sense as a bit of a soft landing spot against a Mavericks team that is already looking towards next season. After shooting 1-of-5 from the field and scoring two points in Tuesday’s loss to the Spurs, Grimes received another opportunity to impress on Wednesday. He took advantage of the opportunity, shooting 7-of-8 from two in his 31 minutes. Grimes missed all four of his three-point attempts, but the overall output was solid. There’s no such thing as “garbage time” when you’re looking to earn more opportunities. Walker made the most of his minutes in Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Spurs, scoring 20 points and earning rotation minutes on Wednesday. The 76ers forward put up an efficient 22 points and recorded a double-double against the Jazz, making some personal history. This is the first time in Walker’s NBA career that he’s scored at least 20 points in consecutive games. The 76ers don’t play again until Saturday in Atlanta, so some of the absent players could be available. If not, don’t be surprised if head coach Nick Nurse gives Walker another opportunity. He’s earned it.

After putting up an inefficient 33 points in Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Spurs, Maxey didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball against the Jazz, either. Given the players who were unavailable for the 76ers, it’s unsurprising that Maxey would struggle because of the attention he’s received defensively. There aren’t typically bright spots in a 40-point loss, but Walker was able to have a solid night off the bench. Payne signed with the 76ers during the All-Star break and immediately slotted in as a reserve ball handler. That didn’t lead to much production in the box score prior to this game.
