With Cam Thomas back in the lineup, Johnson’s shot attempts took a hit Tuesday night. The 10 attempts are the fewest he’s had in a game since February 10, but the good news for fantasy managers is that Johnson snapped out of his three-point funk. After shooting 0-of-10 from beyond the arc in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons, he made three of his six attempts in San Antonio. While Johnson has played in every game since missing six with a sprained ankle in early February, there’s always the possibility of the Nets pulling the plug to improve their draft lottery odds.

Like D’Angelo Russell, availability has been an issue for Thomas. He’s only appeared in two games since injuring his hamstring on January 2, limiting his fantasy upside. And with the Nets playing two back-to-backs during Week 19, Thomas may be looking at a three-game week at best. Keon Johnson (8/7/1/1 with one three-pointer) only played 18 minutes off the bench, but he may be worth holding onto in deep leagues as a safety net in case Thomas misses more time.

Tuesday’s game was the second for Russell since the All-Star break, and availability will be a concern for the rest of the season. And with the Nets only two games behind 10th-place Chicago in the loss column, a little more “effort” may be required from the front office to improve the team’s lottery odds. That would be bad news for managers looking to Russell for production during the fantasy playoffs. The Nets only play two more games during Week 18, but they have two back-to-back during a five-game Week 19.

Johnson, Williams and Claxton are the holdovers from the quintet that started Saturday’s loss to the Pistons. Russell and Thomas replace Killian Hayes (whose 10-day contract expired) and Keon Johnson, who will play quality minutes off the bench. Given the unpredictable availability of Russell and Thomas, Keon is worth holding onto in deep leagues.

Caruso is out after being forced to exit Monday’s win over the Rockets with a sprained left ankle. Fellow reserve Kenrich Williams played 17 minutes off the bench and may be in line for a similar workload on Wednesday. On a night when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off for 51 points, Williams had another good night for the Thunder. J-Dub has scored 20 points or more in five straight games and has provided top-10 value in nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. And with the Thunder playing three more games during Week 18, Williams managers needing to make a push to get into the playoffs are in a good spot.

Back in the Thunder lineup after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Spurs, Holmgren didn’t provide much value as a scorer. However, he did hit double figures in rebounds and contributed big in the defensive categories. Holmgren has been a top-25 player since the All-Star break, exceeding his season-long value. The only concern for fantasy managers is the availability. Between the recent injuries and Oklahoma City being well ahead of the pack in the Western Conference, there may be a few more off nights for Holmgren before the end of the season.

Playing against a severely shorthanded Rockets squad, Gilgeous-Alexander put on a show for the home folks on Monday. Not only did he notch his fourth 50-point game of the season, but he did so on 60 percent shooting from the field and a perfect night at the foul line. Add in the other statistical categories, and Gilgeous-Alexander was dominant in all aspects. Since the All-Star break, only Tyrese Haliburton has been better than SGA in eight- and nine-cat formats.

The Thunder didn’t have Chet Holmgren (ankle) on Sunday, but others stepped up, and the team ripped off 146 points in San Antonio. Wallace rose to the challenge, with the 19 points being the most he’s scored in a game this season. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and this was an excellent night to have Wallace rostered. Another Thunder player who has added fantasy value when Holmgren is out is Aaron Wiggins, who tallied 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and five three-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench. Wiggins is the superior fantasy option, but Wallace is also worth a look in deep leagues.

Thirty-point games have been the norm for Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 30 or more in 37 of the 59 games he’s played this season. Consistently excellent throughout the season, SGA has been a top-5 player in eight- and nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. On the final day of his 10-day contract, Hayes returned to the city where his NBA career began. The former lottery pick struggled against the team that drafted him, shooting 1-of-6 from the field while providing modest production in the rebound and assist categories. The Nets will have a decision to make regarding Killian. The health of D’Angelo Russell will likely influence the Nets’ decision regarding Hayes. As has been the case since he cracked the Nets’ rotation, Johnson had another game in which he shot poorly but provided value in other areas. The 20 percent night from the field won’t help category league managers on the verge of losing that category, but Johnson did grab eight rebounds and hit two three-pointers. Rostered in 19 percent of Yahoo leagues, he has provided eighth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, his value moving forward depends on how much Cam Thomas plays.
