Since returning to the bench in favor of Sam Merrill, Tyson’s productivity has actually increased. Following an 18-point effort on Tuesday, he tallied another 16 on Thursday to go along with six rebounds and two three-pointers. Tyson’s fantasy ceiling has decreased somewhat with the move to the bench, but he’s still worth holding onto in deep leagues until Max Strus is healthy enough to play. As for Merrill, he finished Thursday’s defeat with 11 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and two three-pointers.

Mobley made his return to action far sooner than expected, and he was brought off the bench on Thursday. The forward/center was limited to 25 minutes, and while there wasn’t any defensive production, what Mobley did provide was solid. Dean Wade, whose defending of Jalen Brunson was critical, remained in the starting lineup and finished with six points, four rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer. Wade should remain a starter until Mobley’s restriction is lifted, but his fantasy value still takes a hit.

Slowly but surely, Garland is regaining the burst that made him one of the more difficult point guards to defend before his toe injury. The Cavaliers’ point guard shot 6-of-9 from the field in the first three quarters and finished with his second 20-point double-double in three games. While his season-long fantasy value remains low, Garland has been a top-75 player over the last two weeks.

Thursday’s game will be Mobley’s first since December 12, when he suffered a strained calf during a win over the Wizards. He was given a timeframe of two to four weeks, so the Cavaliers’ forward/center is back a little earlier than expected. He will come off the bench, leaving Dean Wade in the starting lineup.

White continues to be an excellent scoring option for Chicago. He has played in 13 games this season and has scored at least 20 points in 11 of them. Vučević had a rough stretch to close November and start December, but during this four-game winning streak, he has been fantastic. He has averaged 19.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block and 1.5 triples while shooting 54.8 percent from the floor over Chicago’s last four games. For the seventh time this season, Giddey recorded a triple-double. His 15 assists were a new season high for him, and it was enough to help Chicago win their fourth straight game, with two of those against the Cavs and two against the Hawks. His field goal percentage has been solid recently, but his turnovers fell one shy of matching his most in a game this season. Giddey will continue to pour in the points, rebounds and assists every night.

Mitchell caught fire late in this one, drilling 7-of-8 shots in the second half — including three from deep — to pour in a 18 points after halftime. Cleveland knocked down a staggering 20-of-49 from three-point range to cruise to a relatively easy win. The 29-year-old scoring machine has topped 27 points in eight of nine contests since the outset of December. He’s delivered first-round fantasy value, averaging 30.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.3 blocks through 28 games this season.

Merrill was a big reason why Cleveland was able to put this contest away, connecting on 6-of-10 from three-point range — including a pair in the final 34 seconds of the first half — as the Cavaliers drained 20-of-49 from distance. The 29-year-old sharpshooter was back in the lineup for just the second time since November 17 after missing 14 contests with a sprained right hand. Merrill was in the Cavaliers’ rotation for the first time since November 17, having missed 14 games with a sprained right hand. He played 26 minutes off the bench on Monday but missed all four of his three-point attempts. While Merrill recorded five assists, he still has some rust to shake off with his perimeter shot. While Hunter’s lack of production in assists, steals and blocked shots limits his ceiling in category leagues, the reserve wing is capable of going off offensively. Here’s an oversimplification: Defense was optional in a back-and-forth shootout that ended as the season’s highest-scoring game. Buzelis was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, including four three-pointers, to finish the first half with a team-leading 14 points as both teams shot over 55 percent from the floor and scored a staggering 156 points combined. The 21-year-old playmaker knocked down a season-high seven three-pointers overall and eclipsed the 20-point mark for the second consecutive contest. He made just one of two free throws in the final seconds of regulation with Chicago leading by just a single point at the time, giving the Hawks a chance to tie or take the lead on the final possession. He remains a work in progress overall, but the significant scoring upside keeps him relevant in all fantasy formats until further notice.
