On a night where the Pistons were without Cade Cunningham (wrist), Isaiah Stewart (illness), Jalen Duren (ankle) and Tobias Harris (hip), Robinson went off for a season-high 20 first-half points, going 5-of-6 from three-point range to help Detroit open a 19-point lead at the break. Amazingly, he failed to score in the final two quarters, attempting just one shot during that span. The 31-year-old sharpshooter looked like he was on the verge of challenging his previous career-high mark of 34 points in the early stages of this one, but the Clippers put the clamps on him down the home stretch. The Eastern Conference-leading Pistons are off until Thursday when they host the Suns before closing out the week with a favorable matchup against the Pacers.

The Pistons saw a 19-point lead evaporate in the second half with Holland doing his best to keep them afloat, scoring a team-high nine points in the final two quarters. The 20-year-old lottery pick has seen a significant uptick in minutes due to Detroit’s recent injury issues, recording at least 24 minutes in three straight contests. He also matched a season-high with 15 shot attempts in this one. His fantasy appeal is strictly limited to deeper mixed leagues at this stage of his development, but the building blocks for a scoring and rebound dual threat are clearly there.

Cunningham will miss a second consecutive game with a right wrist contusion. Tyson has been productive for most of the season, but the last few games prior to this one had been rough. However, he was able to get back on track in this one by scoring at least 20 points for the fifth straight game. He had scored a total of 21 points across his four previous games, but he has largely been a consistent producer this season. This could kickstart a strong stretch for him, but he remains a risky option since the Cavs are healthier than they’ve been for much of the season.

Though he didn’t contribute as much on the glass as he typically does, Mobley was able to pour in the points. This was his highest scoring performance since November. Still, his fantasy impact has been limited recently by a lack of rebounds. He has a total of 18 rebounds over his last four games, which is well below his season average of 8.6 boards per game. He had at least 10 rebounds in the two games prior to this stretch, and he’ll look to get back on track against the Jazz on Monday.

Merrill slid back into the starting lineup for this game, replacing Craig Porter Jr. with the opening group. He took advantage of the opportunity, with this being his fourth straight game with at least five three-pointers. It has been a rough season overall for Garland, but he has had some incredibly efficient performances lately. This was the second time in his last three games that he scored at least 20 points and six assists while shooting better than 60 percent from the floor and not turning the ball over. Garland hasn’t played to his sixth round ADP, but he is more than capable of producing to that level for the rest of the season.

Mobley’s near-20-point effort on efficient shooting was the highlight of the night for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. He added in a trio of threes for the seventh time this season, as well. Yet he was unspectacular on the glass and finished with just one stock. Merrill started and closed Thursday’s games in a similar way, scoring 11 points in both the first and fourth quarters, with three-point production being key. The sharp-shooting guard’s production in between those two periods was also similar, as he went scoreless in the middle two quarters. As a result, Merrill ended with 22 points and five threes. He didn’t make major contributions elsewhere in this game; however, he’s now scored 15 or more points and made at least four three-pointers in four consecutive games.

After a one-game absence, Mitchell returned to the floor on Thursday and added to his streak of 30-point games, which now sits at four. Efficient shooting helped lead him to a team-high in points, with most of his scoring production coming in a 19-point second half. Mitchell also tied a season-high in assists in his effort to give the Cavs a second straight win. A flurry from the T’Wolves in the third quarter ultimately swung the game in their favor, leaving Mitchell’s production wasted in a loss. Both he and the Cavs will have a chance to avenge their loss on Saturday at home against the same Timberwolves.

While Jaden Ivey was the pick to replace the injured Cade Cunningham in the Pistons’ lineup, the star guard’s absence also boosted Jenkins’ value in the short term. The second-year guard did not shoot the ball well, but he did rack up a career-high 15 assists. Jenkins, who is still on a two-way deal, has a limited long-term fantasy ceiling for that reason and Detroit’s perimeter depth. However, one can argue that he’s played well enough to deserve a standard deal, whether it’s in Detroit or elsewhere.

Cade Cunningham’s absence led to Ivey making his first start since he suffered a fractured fibula during a January 1, 2025, game against the Magic. He’s still on a minutes restriction, so the Pistons’ guard was unable to take full advantage of the opportunity. But Ivey did dish out four assists, with only Paul Reed (9/6/6/1 with one three-pointer) having more among the Pistons starters. However, with Cade Cunningham also out on Wednesday, few envisioned Beef Stew putting on the performance that he did against the Bulls. Stewart only grabbed three rebounds, but the points, field-goal percentage and “stocks” more than compensate for that “deficiency.” Rostered in 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Stewart has offered sixth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past week.

For the first time in four games, Thompson managed to crack double figures in the points category. And he’s been a disappointment in fantasy basketball thus far, sitting well outside the top-150 in eight-cat per-game value. For a player who many fantasy managers were banking on for top-100 value, the season has reached an uncomfortable point.
